Good day folks,
Iv,e probably got this wrong its supposed to be an introduction to me so hit reply to thread. Anyway my name is dave and I will say from the outset I,m not a fulltime spread like you guys, I,ll get my coat now then:RpS_laugh:, no seriously I started my building site life as a plasterers labourer for 3 years before moving on to 10 years as a hod carrier, 4 years of that on price so been there got t shirt all the clichés etc, but i di pick up the fundamentals of plastering from the guy i laboured for who was a mega fast spread so now i do jobbing building jobs for customers, oh no not a jack of all trades i hear you scream:RpS_laugh:, well iv,e never has to go back on my work so i must be doing something right at 56 years old.
Right iv,e just bought a refina s*p*r*lex trowel for a new plastering job on an old house i,m working on reskim on existing plaster, was planning to use my s*p*r*lex for just finishing the plaster but iv,e heard a few say they also lay the plaster on with it as well, i am old school mt for years, any thought about using it for laying on as well quality looks very good on first impressions but not sure about using it for laying on as well as the blade seems very flexible. i do have a very small area of wall i could give it a try on see how it goes as i,m not under any time resraints on this job, just as well i aint no speed merchant, but hey my customers are happy with my work so at least i get that bit right hehe. sorry for the long post
