Hi all. We are contracting in a new plasterer on a water damage repair job. I am not a plasterer but have contracted a few before. Basically we asked this plasterer to cut out and replace the existing water damaged dot and dabbed plasterboards then skim the walls/ceilings so they were ready for decorating. This is what we got when I popped round this evening to take a look at the work done.
The plasterer has said that it needs to be sanded down prior to decorating. To my mind this is going to be a very obvious repair once everything is done. Am I right or wrong? Never seen wall repairs done in this way before.
Any advice would be gratefully received before we speak properly tomorrow. Many thanks!
