Logged on tonight to see what’s going down , funny I always remember @stuart23 saying he sees porn adverts at top when he logs on but tonight I see this ,

I’ll be the bottom right hand corner box but any of you be any younger?
Also what will you do with all the free time ?

Yes. Should have been Friday but just didn't make 4 more days lol. My back is f**k*d tbh and sick to the balls of plastering internal and external. Iv made a good living from it. But roll out of bed to go to work the last few years. Even when not on the tools lol. So just stopped give away just over 100 houses. Not even subbing them out. Just don't want to do it or be involved. Probably sounds f***** up to some people. But enough is enough for me. U looking for a s**t labourer lol.

Far to young to retire, you'll need a couple of million in the bank to have a decent retirement.
 
I’ve got a bit of a dilemma at the moment. I’ve been working importing and wholesaling. Easy job fair money, paid holiday and pension contributions. But I’ve been doing Plastering here and there and all last week, I can’t seem to be able to walk away from my trade even though on paper I’ve got a good job elsewhere away from Plastering. I need to make a decision soon? And the pension thing is in the back of my mind and other thoughts about the future....
 
i think that the days of a good pension are over.
the firms that run the pensions take a good cut of the money that you pay in. a pension is also taxable when you come to claim it.
you do need to have something put to one side . something that does not have a deed or log book as these can be traced very easy and you will get a tax bill. it needs to be something that you can turn into instant cash when needed.

It’s mainly shite we buy and sell on. Hairbrushes, scissors, make up, cheap jewellery. Nothing to do with Plastering and rather boring but seems to pay ok, not back breaking or dirty but so boring I just don’t get anything from it.

i pick up just over £400 per month gov. pension. you need to have 30 years of stamps to be able to collect the pension. so you do need to have something else.

to much clock watching with those type of jobs, i like to get stuck in, get weighed in and get home. thats what plastering give me.

Yeah I’m watching the clock all the time and actually missing the manual labour and satisfaction at the end of the day

Me neither mate tbh I think about it more in the last year for some strange reason, 44 now, but hey don’t get to uptight about it I’m not ,
Just enjoy what we can and hopefully be ok when am an old git
