Promising hardest winter agagain lol. I'm still waiting for the one they promised 5 years ago lol. Are we going to get hope not anyway building site have closed before 1963 I think does anybody rember that?

I was doing a paper round at the time /remember a steam train stuck in a snow drift happy days

I think it was 1985 when there was so much snow that the M6 was closed. We were in at 05:30 to start the trucks and thaw out the fuel lines.

Sounds bout right . I can remember a bad winter bout that time. Played on sledges for ages . Just saying lol

I can't remember if it was the '84 - '85 winter or '85 - '86. Either way it was b4stard cold and the snow was ridiculous. Too deep for the snow ploughs in a lot of the lanes, so they had full on snow blowers out.

I remember there were some trucks stranded on the M6 near Bedworth and they cleaned them out. Roads were impassable but the Gypos and thieves managed to get through. :ROFLMAO:
 
winter of 87 was on site doing new build houses and there was no glass in the windows . it was so cold that ice was starting to form on the wet skimming . Thank god for global warming .

1963 the long winter, i left school in april of 64, i had a start as a probation apprentice plasterer. working on a refurb of barrack blocks in Colchester garrison. i was lucky to find employment. tradesmen were just starting back to work , labourers had to wait a few more weeks before every thing was in full swing.
 
Media /governments make fake scaremongering weather predictions
So you go out & buy winter tyres de icer , coats , hats put your heating on ect
Meaning if we get mild winter this stuff has no need !!!!

I've heard my old man and his brothers talk about how bad it was often enough.
81, my first winter on site, was pretty f**k**g cold I'll tell you.
We had a drum full of water freeze solid inside a plot. Strange sight seeing the water sticking right out of the top.
