I was criticising you for putting it up mate but there will be those that will read right through it as I did and not know that some of it just ain't right.

The information and experience and given out on this forum is vast and it can differ a'lot on some subjects esp rendering where there is so much to know and get right. There are many ways to do a job ,not all of them the easy or the correct way, as the old saying goes that you never stop learning in this game . You just take in the information being given then extract what makes sense and you think will improve your work and make a better job. Some people are very strong in certain aspects of plastering, others not so , its up to you who you listen to.

Ive always done a 4-1 on the scratch and never had any problems, so what would you suggest 3 - 1? or would you go weaker like 5 -1 or even 6 - 1?

Lots of different spread's use different mixes for various substrates/backings/situations, especially old school ! as we have been around the block ,and don't just know bagged materials lol, OK criticism is fine but lets ,not be to picky essex-boy ..........
