Cant believe it scaffs are turning G** now scared of a 21 lol, I come from the era when Bricklayers used to erect there own scaff far better system not having to wait for people and it is a piece of pish to do as for certification I know loads of young scaffs working for firms who have no qualifications at all as long as one person is certified the others are classed as labourers.

if you read the post correctly mate, I said stay away from 21;s if your not used to them... we throw em around for fun, as for brickies erecting scaffold, they couldnt get a proper erection in a fukin whorehouse, and wont touch the scaffolds, as they know the penalty from us if their caught...lol... '' piece of piss to do '' yeh course it is mate...lmao.. yes there are scaffolders with no cards, these will be doing street work and if anything goes wrong, they and the owner of the company will be in court without a leg to stand on.... you seem to have major issues with scaffolders mate ??

shouldnt wobble with 2 lifts mate, send a pic and I;ll tell you what your doing wrong if you like.. are you putting a kicker lify in ? all the sway bracing ? ledger bracing ? plan brace is very important and will really stop the shake, if you cant get a tie anywhere , I can explain how to build a buttress on to stop the shake, and some little tricks that make all the difference, my number is 07732 744188, best to get me after 7pm mate... layher is a very good system, we used a lot of it on a refinery in canada, its German..

Cant fault yer cassie for trying to help someone mate!

Good karma!:RpS_thumbup:

Yeah I do mate as I told you before they are all divs , unreliable can never get the job as you have asked fking dangerous I have had so many drops over the years through clips not being done tight enough and a couple of total collapses where I nearly lost my life always better to do my own and not that it matters but I have been doing my own scaffold for forty years.

Thanks cassie. I put it up as they show in the book. i.e. feet ,2 frames, hand rail, diagonal brace and board. I been using the eye bolts with the bar that clip on the frame and loop in the eye. Just sometimes theres a window or something in the way so you need a outrigger.
Dont get me wrong its great stuff but i thought that i could work 2 lifts up on short runs say 5-7.5mts with it not tied to wall or have outriggers.

For eg i see a lift at about 2.75mts high on a terrace with no outriggers and its stable. The lahyer would be a bit shaky. At that height would you lay a 600 high bay then build your 2 mt bay of that. ?

With tube scaff you could tie it somewhere convenient but when you only got the frames every 2.5 mts its not so easy. I like nothing sticking out so i can sheet it to protect from rain. Good thing about the layher is with the boards being solid the rain dont drip though the lifts

ring me tonite after 7.30pm mate, its easier to explain than write, you will have more idea then... a lift of 2.75m woyuld be wobbly as fuk, and the max 1st lift height is 2.7m anyway ,
