They're not as bad if there's a bedroom to be done at the same time. Somewhere to mix, and you can pick off some of the more awkward bits.

But it seems that most people leave it until the rest of the house is complete before they think about the staircase.

i just get fed up of all the up down up down on the stairs laying on and trowing up

I don't mind the larger ones its the small ones they do my head in. Constantly muttering things like why the **** did you agree to this to myself

When I do H,S and landing they come and move in with me for a couple of days, feck sake if am on the stairwell wall they not comeing up stairs till am done. Let them use a piss bucket:RpS_thumbsup:.

fnck me malc how much do you charge??
and if you refit the stuff why do you get someone in to take it out?

my local plumber would remove the basin, rad, and pan, cisten. then replace them for £100. i would charge a days pay for 1 plasterer plus mats. so now everyone is happy.

Ive just finished a hsl for a builder I work for. Its on his own house. He buys all mats but I popped into the merchant on the first day and bought some carpet roll. Turned up and hes already done everywhere. His mrs said kids are at school everyday and im at work everyday so the house will be empty. happy days.

Oh I hope so... There no carpets as they have ripped them up ready for changing!! Bonus

If theyre going I tell them to leave it down and ill rip it up when im done saves sheeting up. Scraping floors and sweeping.

that doesnt make sense! if they are doing away with the carpets surely it makes more sense to leave them down and take them up after youv done??? its what i do anyway

We still cover them, easier to sweep and your arse isnt so ragged when they tell you that they are keeping them after all.

:RpS_lol: i once covered some stairs carpets even though they said they were getting ripped up and at the end of the job they told me that they have decided to keep them :RpS_lol: jesus my arse fell out :RpS_scared: they were only taking the p!ss,
