Speed skim or big trowl

All i want it for (to start with) is to flatten. I can see being able to finish with plastic being easier as you need to just wet blade

They last ages if look after them , had mine couple of years gets used most months.
Still on first blade got a spare blade and came with pole clip when ordered from ptf shop at the time. Prob get ss blade to try soon.

If you are any good at handling a feather edge get yourself a 1.2m plastic bladed speedyskimmer.
 
Speedskim 600 and 1200 with blue plastic blade and pole attachment is all you'll ever need!

It literally changed my life as I was beginning to get fed up with plastering with just a 14inch trowel! The finish it allows you to get with ease is second to none, game changer.

I flatten it 2 or 3 times depending on how good I am with timings on the day and how the gears setting, usually alternate which way I'm flattening so it's essentially cross troweled and make sure on the last passes I'm troweling across the light. If that makes sense?

The great thing is as it's plastic and doesn't bring the water to the surface you don't need to worry about over troweling, so you can play with the timings quite a bit without fear of f**k**g anything up!

I spent a year on blue plastic blade speed skim.
Lent it too someone and was left outside in the heat all day....ruined it.
I wasn't paying £80 again.
Stayed on trusty 18" Marshall.
I find the trowel better considering the state of the joinery on new builds.
+ 1 less tool to carry around and baby sit.

Yeah makes total sense mate might get the plastic blades now!!
