Speedskim ST SF pole holder fix

Finish is one thing but structural integrity is another. Theres no way 1 coat can be better than 2. I'm sure the finish can look at good, but it won't be as strong.
Maybe I was one coating differently to others? I used exactly the same amount of gear one coating as when two coating.
To be honest I can't really see how the strength of the finish coat would make a blind bit of difference to anything?

I'll dig up the c**t who trained me and get him to explain it better than me.

He'd probably mention something like double glazed windows

Thats how you should 1 coat imo with thicker gear to achieve a heavy coat as per same as 2 thinner coats.

The bit that makes me laugh is when people say they 2 coat from same mix on say boardwork and think its any different unless on a high suction back ground its just the same.

Im honest enough to say that 2 coats from seperate mixes is the better way, but i also say thst done correctly 1 coat can be very good.

Always prefer to have two separate mixes, but everybody knocks up the first mix from time to time. There's lots of you "shouldn't do that" in this trade, some of it for good reason.

Due to the design fault of the pole attachment they become loose even when tightened.

Good excuse to clean the filthy bitch too.

@Olican has drilled his in for a more solid fix which is what i’ll Probably do next but for a quick fix you can slide some thin plastic underneath then tighten the attachment

I’ve got the sf blade to try. And no @essexandy it isn’t freebie.

Probably because you're a skim monkey. Anyone with decent featheredge skills would find them easy to use on walls, whether they like them or not.
No TWO ways about it. 1 coat is rough.

Even if you master it to look nice before you leave the country, it will still crack
it will crack
YOU WERE TRAINED?!!!
Jesus just when you think nothing in this trade can surprise you.
yeah he taught himself at home on his artex ceilings, now he’s a time served plasterer
