Be doing a job for a new firm who have never worked for before.

pushing on a job to help them out after being recommended by a friend who does some for them.

I said we’d give them a week on a job.

me and mate got to job we do 3k worth of float and set between us..

say to the contracts manger

“We’ve gone as far as we can mate, all buttoned up to a level apart from the stairwell that isn’t ready due to steels needing boxing in and birdcage going up !!!

2 week invoice he says.

Been away from job for a week he rings up and says
“ stairwell is ready “

I say “sorry mate can’t get back , we are on my own job now “

money got paid Friday £500 short lol.

he said

“I’ve stopped you to make sure you come back to do the stairwell” looooool.

I told him to f**k off and keep his stinking £500.

would any of you lot go back and do it and get the 500 and whatever you get for the other works
???

Or cut your losses like I have ??

personally I can’t trust them now to not pay the full amount again if I go back .

You should get your full payment as its for work thats been, taking £500 off as a bit of an arm twister is not on.
They owe you and you should do everything you can to get that money because its yours not their's, and never do any work for them again.

Get a few bottles of tomatoe ketchup water it down with vinegar and spray it on £500 quids worth of work . Let em try and paint that f**k*r works a treat
