Got a job to do which is render the front of a small terrace house. I was wondering what the best method would be to give me access.

Was thinking a tower on the footpath but it's quite a busy street.

any ideas?

It comes under Medway council and can do it online. Anyone had experience of this before? Or idea of cost?

No,I expect the h and s part of the scaffold will need to be correct, so more costly for protection and sheeting

we had a pole scaffold put up on a terrace house in harwich about a month ago the council licence was £65. it took about a month to issue the licence because they where to busy to look at our application.

Sounds like this is going to be a pain in the ass job lol. Annoying as under 20m2 worth of rendering

Dan is right any decent scaffolder would take care of all that leaving you to do your bit :RpS_thumbup:

Scaffolders (what they tell me) charge per lift/level? You may get away with 1 lift? Depends on the circumstances plus will be bit extra due to the permit etc best bet ring some local scaffolders tell them the score and decide from there? Let's face it with everybody suing for compensation these days don't risk it doing somthing yourself to work off? Your insurance won't cover you

How do i apply for that bud
Go on the web site and av a look, I think cheyne walk comes under bourough of Kensington and Chelsea , should be able to apply on line ,got a feeling tho they're one of the difficult councils to do this , u might av to go into the office , but they coud of changed since I last tried with them, ve done the permits wiv Westminster and Camden councils, be interested to know how u get on dan for further reference, cheyne walk one of the most expensive places in London if not the most, hope your hitting it hard

When i done some work at the chelsea flower show a few years back I used one near Chelsea bridge right by the old barracks Eubury bridge rd I think, might be a bit of a walk tho from cheyne walk,if you want to treat yourself for dinner there's a place in York rd where your staying called jacks place, haven't been theres for years but use to excellent when jack was the chef ,the daughter now runs it after jack died so I don't know how good it is or if its still there, the outside looked a shithole but inside was old England and food superb, give it a google

Joet, this is a job for your scaffolder. They will get you the permit. Do it of one lift as the public will need to walk under. Get it right or someone will sue your arse! I give these jobs a miss, just not worth the worry.

We paid 80 quid for a one week licence to scaffold over a footpath in Glasgow.

I'm using The Plasterers Forum Mobile App
