To be fair mate...why didn't you just save all this headache and employ a plasterer to board the ceiling?

It is a plasterers job after all...

Why are more and more people forgetting that nowadays?

Well my wrist aches, you might think that that was from being up a ladder with a Bosch 24V Drill driver for the 1000 screws I put in. Or possibly it was the post job completion celebration.

I reckon the wrist ache is from having a tug over how good your new ceiling looks

Yea hope it falls down, cracks on the joints or all the joists bow from the extra weight and have to be replaced.
