uni-finish

This stuff needs to be a direct replacement for multi at the same price with the added benefits if they are that confident in it.

Just watched Stu's vid.........................all i could here was " any chance of a tattie scone for the wee man"Mon

great video review olican! sill not convinced by unifinish though,
my time spent rolling pva onto walls has become an institution,a time where i can drift off into a world where stress is a thing of the past, a world where kids behave, a world where people talk to their neighbours,a world where politicians work for free just for the love of humankind, a world where a customer says great job great price heres 4 cans of fosters cos i could see that ceiling nearly killed you, a world where bacon dosent shrink,a world where sparkys always roll their wires into sockets and the self assesment can wait till pension age, a world where a dog gets excited at the site of a months supply of dry food,a world where we learn to appreciate what pva has done for us over the years,
if we all took the time as plasterers to think what we would actually miss by not having pva in our lives maybe the world would change and we could change as people,
i personally like to turn down the radio in the morning and listen to the velvet tones of our beloved pva sloshing around in a gorilla tub in the back of the van just waiting to help us out (although my lad doesnt agree)
all im saying is we shouldnt forget pva she is closer to our hearts than we think and like a kebab on a friday night when the takeaways have shut when its gone its gone!

im not saying i love pva in pervy way im just saying i like it (in an o.c.d kind of way)

all hail pva :)

Used I used it today in a living room, it pulled in a little slower but like someone said it ripped when using angle trowel.

Thought i had an easy morning today, thought i would use my last bag of unifinish on me marra's house where he removed a little wardrobe. He took the paper of on Tuesday so just had to bag the gear on. What a fu@kin nightmare. the gear started going off straight away in patches. layed in straight away to see if it would control the suction abit...............did it ****. Then it all went the surface of the moon like in the pics @Olican

Only thing i could think of was the paper paste residue, had to pull it all back with the sponge.......................plus side, it was done in about 45 minutes................:RpS_thumbup:

Tried it again today on a different background and hated it again wish @BritishGypsum had spent the money one something else like a fast setting skim for those little jobs

Got offered some to try from builders merchants, not interested tho, why bother really... waste of time, just stick with the PVA

it wont be around for long Cassie , bg would better looking into other things like additives, to slow and speed up setting times , plastic bags like cement groups are now doing , ohh and take off the instructions on there bags

I have a pallet of the stuff and have used it on various painted backgrounds over the last few weeks. Any Artex ceilings will only use it if they are the comb patterns and painted.
Will put a review in November or sooner if any problems.

In all honesty I made the video, unedited to show an objective unbias view of the product. I have had emails and messages from people that have seen the vid and I cannot say that I would recommend it, it went well for me on the day but I just wouldnt chance it again. maybe Uni-finish mk 3 might be better :RpS_unsure:

Mk 3..........................:-0
If i was putting decent meterage on and it went like it did the other day i would have been right in the ****.....................:RpS_thumbdn:

Quote from one of the guys on bg site off a Facebook group

I did one of the videos and if we had done a bigger area we would have been in trouble. Guy from bg who was there at filming told me if it started to pull in too quickly to go back over area again before second coat which in essential means three coats with more expensive gear. Like I said in the video it would be good for hitting small ceilings to save some time. I found it worked best if you gave it a pva first lol
