@ the plastermen in a few weeks I'm going to have access to a spare garage so I intend on ordering a pallet as there's kmowhere local to me that I can just grab a bag etc so will have to order a pallet from somewhere.

Just to let u know if its shite I'm going to hunt you down and torture you!

No pressure like just thought I'd mention it like!
Sounds fair to me

Talked local wickes into getting a pallet, it went down slowly, all the spreads going in, eyeing it suspiciously. Finally went and got the guy to order some more, sent him 4 pallets of knauf universal by mistake. Had to use multi today and was pissed off i had to get the pva bucket out again.

Be interested to here what you say..a pallet is 28 bags if I am correct?
If you use them all which I think is giving it a fair shot I think you will agree with what I been going on about for all this time.

If you don't I am in the s**t but think you have read through all the threads that have been on here over the last year and will kind of know what to expect.
The worst case scenario is if it fast sets and you intend to do say two opposite walls then its either second coat maybe with the same mix and just do one wall (3rd coat if you are proper dry but doubt you would need to) or fly like the wind and lay in with the second mix and flatten fast but it's only sometimes it dry's fast besides that look forward to your views which ever way it is.

Pete i knew you looked like someone else...

If you get a pallet from any merchants try get them £8 - £8.50 inc vat at least I say
Like @jamesthefirst says if the donkey merchants did at £5 -£6 would be the best

56 bags on a pallet isn't there?

It's order in on unifinish to most merchants most will order if you ask but most don't stock.
Don't know why it's 28 but that's what I get on a pallet.

I like when I can to lay down with same mix so flashing on the wall within reason would suit how I work.

I also tend to do smaller quick gauges than big long ones so if I can walk straight in a room and bang 3 small sets on in 5 hours I'll be happy.

The main appeal is I like to go onto dry PVA so that it doesn't skid when using same mix for both costs I even 1 coat where I know I can get it bang on.

What should I expect to pay per pallet/bag buddy?

£8-£8.50 inc vat my merchants do it at

If you want to do 3 small sets in 5 hours you've no chance with unifinish. Unless you're going over unpainted surfaces then you'll manage 3 sets in about half an hour

I over boarded an Artexer ceiling today in a kitchen with a curve but couldn't board some of it because of thickness restrictions, so after lunch I mixed up uni and coated a small section below the curve where it meets the board and tight coat over the boards. When it had all pulled in and flattened I then top coated with board finish and it all went in nice. The reason for telling this is I couldn't get to bottom half of texture to pva or grit because of fridge but after I finished boarding we moved it and I could just slap the uni on. :)
