Used my new mediflex today

There a pain in the backside when they turn up in the post with the slightest drink in them and everything starts to go tits up lol.

A lot of lads are saying they are brilliant , but I’m either using wrong or there finish ain’t upto scratch

Once u got 2nd coat on do u flatten with my 1st ? Or is it medi all the way 2-3 flats( trowels ) ?any help would be appreciated

I find the trick with these trowels is use water at the start of hit and just keep blade wet towards the end.
Keep it flatter than your Mt without any pressure.

Flatten everything with Mt first sir.
Then Medi till the end.

Up it twice across it twice.
Might take an extra swipe now it's a bit colder but I'm using 18" ....it's like a small spat.

Cheers buddy , so soon as flat with mt , don’t leave it and straight on with the medi 2 wets and then just keep trowel clean ? That about right

Yeh too much pressure n that’s when the frigging waves start n oh shoot
I ain’t use mine fir while just use the nelaflex at end

So once u have 2nd coat on u 1st flat mt then medi 2 wet trowels then a crosstrowel ? Sorry to ask but we been having problems with them

I'm not sure the size of your hits mate or what size trowels your using.
18" without pressure will whip around 50/60m fairly quick.
I've only started giving it a quick extra 1 since it's gone colder to keep an eye on everything.
You will find you can run around the tops without crates or benches towards end of hits with 18"

I do t think I could physically be without my nela now. My elbow is playing up again. So much so that.... and I’m going to sound like a nob..... I’m flattening with mt, then quick flash over (no water and when I’ve left it a bit) with nelamax and then standard nela. Trying to take all pressure off my elbow. Should really start doing everything but laying on with my left hand... in fact that’s exactly what I’m going to do starting tomorrow!

TBH I'm loving the cork handles....suits me very well sir.

Just swapped to wood as cork fell to bits . Didnt like it at first as it feels like a 50p piece compaired to a mt. Then i realised reason but cant explain lol

This was a good thread to bump As it shows @Gibbo really liked the mediflex and highly rated it but after time he’s gone back to mt. this is exactly what happened with me as mentioned in previous posts.

Can’t fault them trowels but they can create more problems if you’re not completely on your game .
