Morning guys,

If you are Ltd companies, then you can have a christmas party for all your staff and spouses but don't spend more than £150 per head. However, annual functions are allowed, provided they are annual - so, if things were a tad tight one year and you didn't have a staff party, the next year it'd be taxable (thats bah humbug HMRC for you! :RpS_cursing:). OK, so what we're saying is:

The rules say up to £150 per employee, so a one man band (sole trader) can have a personal party up to £150.
So if all of you decide to buy a ticket to a xmas dinner and show at less than £150 per head and obviously have separate invoices (which you would), its an allowance.

Right I have phoned marriott and there is only 2 rooms left :-(

Its £79 for the room only....

I need to know who is staying and who is not :-) If only a few are staying then we can just meet in the evening in town somehwere if lots are staying then we should find a pub/bar to head to :-)
