What do you disagree with on these policies?

I can't be any clearer on corporations tax.

Zero hours is good for both employee who wants it and business especially in sales based environments where you have fluctuations and need flexibility, food is different as we all need to eat.

Tuition fees, I don't see why they should be free, let's have it right I paid for my apprenticeship by providing cheap labour

Lol they are used in the restaurant, bar, shops, factories and so on not sales they are usually commission based. You did an apprenticeship? Lol you got payed for it so let's not bullshit.

Yes but by providing very cheap labour which paid my own way through it.
The above are all sales based where flexibility is needed, very few are on zero hours most are part time and happy with it, there is an unnecessary hysteria about zero hours.

Well in that case every job is sales based tut tut you can't make a comparison to someone doing an apprenticeship and being payed to someone at uni paying for it come on.

There isn't unnecessary hysteria unless you have some facts I've not read?

Like us one week we could earn £300 the next £1500 how can you hire full time.

Same as the sports shop ( won't mention which one lol ) sales fluctuate massively so you need flexibility or you end up like Woolies or bhs

So not many if any disagree with any of the policies? @gps has tried his best with silly things but as usual no answers to anything just his one sided opinion :)

We are not saying the problem is part time workers it's zero hour contracts that's the problem, don't try and twist it :)

And most families are not on zero hours are they ?

Show me some figures that most families are on zero hours ?
Top twisting it coz I will pull you on it Gordon, I didn't say most families are on zero hour contracts I said it doesn't suit most families because they can't plan the following weeks because they don't know if they Will have work or be working so then can't budget, already said this :)

You can't have it both ways though. Most families are not on zero hours so it doesn't matter if it suits them or not as it doesn't apply to them.

Zero hours is mostly for the part time market and has been working well for the past twenty odd years at least

I didn't say most families were your twisting it :) and part time is not zero hour contracts there is a clue in the name and zero hours have not been out for 20 odd years :)

They have it was a different name possibly, and zero hours does cover part time workers I'm certain of that

Zero and part time is two different things lol

My point is as you well know, that zero hours are not really intended to replace a standard 39 hour full time job, it's to allow employers to employ people on flexible terms to assist in the running of the business, During peak times. You can't offer everyone a set amount of hours in some industries because it would be suicidal.

I think most on zero hours are part time and happy with it.
The problem is that not all zero hour contracts work like that. They can start some one saying it is probably gonna be 16hrs pe4 week then the next week say sorry nowt for you this week go home and we will ring you when we need you which could be 4 weeks time or an hours time!!!! Plus some of them have it written in their contract that it must be their sole employment. These zero hour contracts on the whole merely benefit the employer I have no doubt there are some employees who like them but, seriously who do you think came up with the idea of them employers or employees ?

Ok let me put it this way, zero hours has by in large replaced the term part time in the industries that it is used in.
Sorry but that comment just shows your true lack of understanding on the subject. They are two totally different things altogether legally.

You are wrong, zero hours means you can work for anyone at anytime, you are not tied to one employer.

If you do not want to be on a zero hour contract get another job it's very simple, there are as many job vacancies as there are unemployed so no excuses.

The hysteria around zero hours is ridiculous.

Lol yes, but look at the companies using zero hours and they will have no part time staff

Lol give up mate your making more of a c**t of yourself than you normally do, a zero hour contract is exactly that stop comparing it to a part time job.
