Not a bad year at all, theres been plenty of work about, i've earnt some decent money and just as important, so have my lads. I enjoy seeing them doing well as it only spurs them on and encourages them to do more, want more, and take a real pride in their work.

Work has been relentless, on site at 4am in some cases to get ahead, finishing at 9pm. Got in our new house a few days before Christmas after living with relatives for six weeks. Six weeks without my phoneline steadied the flow of work, which was probably for the best because I can never turn it down.

We are settled in our new home now which has been a long time coming, I wanted to move since 2012. Lets just hope that phone keeps ringing this year!

I do not take calls at work, my wife deals with that, if its important she will let me know. As we were going to be without a home for 6 weeks we tried to have it diverted to her mobile, but they could not do that without us taking out a 1year contract for line rental at our relatives address, which I was not wanting to do. We froze our account for the time instead. The order book is looking healthy, I just hope I haven't missed out on anything to good.

Probably my best year since 2007. Low point was trying to find a decent apprentice and having the motivation to give another handful a go, still without any success

Take on an older gentlemen, perhaps one just about to finish his level 2 diploma in 4-5 months. That'll work better!:RpS_wink:
