Solid 9" walls all back to brick, lime mortar. Pebble dash at rear original brick at front.

What is the correct way to go about putting this back

S&C with water proof and skim?

S&C up to a meter then dot and dab

Batten and board ?

The more guys i get in the more confused i am getting, nobody has said similar to what's come before.

What is the by the book way, not the easiest.
Cheers

I thought lime lite was cementitious ? Excuse my ignorance. These are the only photos i have at the moment. House was built in 1906. Staggered terrace 2 per tier.

Any idea of a tradesperson in South Wales who could do the job, cheers

You’re right, it is. It’s also breathable unlike s/c.

You could use thermal board on exterior walls for insulation. And float or dab the rest. Dab is not good if there’s damp though

The only damp was from a roof leak which was sorted in January, brick work is drying out nicely. I wasn't going to touch the pebble dash outside. Budget at the minute doesn't allow for it. Was not sure how pebble dash outside would affect limelite inside if atall.

What's the correct way to limelite from start to finish, any idea where i can find people who are familiar with the product. Is the finish the same as gypsum once painted in appropriate paint. Would like the house to look sharp and modern. Cheers

Sorry do you mean Internal walls that face outwards. Would a cheaper option than lime be to mechanically fix foil backed board to all walls,. I know not ideal but better than putting sand and cement everywhere ?

That’s a good point to be honest I’m not sure if the render will effect its performance. @essexandy while you’re here?

Thermal board would insulate since you’ve got no cavity. Vapour boards would shield against moisture but lend no warmth.

Ball park for 3 bed terrace ? Just not sure it's economical. Theres a ceiling price on these terraces of about 110k done up. In the valleys it is. So am really stuck between wanting to do it right and the economics of it. 99% of houses here are S&C or boarded. Varying from zero to serious problems from what I've seen. Cheers

Theres a guy fairly close to me who specialises in lime so may be worth a call. Website gallery shows serious property not a single terraced house so could say alot about the ££.

Just be careful your big mouth doesn't get you in trouble. Lots of key board warriors on this site. Doesn't look good from the outside looking in . Can't fault those who are actually constructive.

You really have no idea who your talking to pal!

I've been brought up in a family and world were such remarks would have to have consequences.

You made this personal suggesting a straightener not me, no keyboard warrior from my side.

My comment was pure fact your talking about specs not suited to a 2 up 2 down s**t hole terrace, lime plaster is way out of your budget and above the pay scale for the house.

If you want to gob off anymore F*****g 10 men pm me for a chat, I let the 1st comment go, make it twice and it's personal.
