Im a bit new for tips but something thats helped me is when I go into a new room I unscrew everything, plug sockets, lights etc and put all the screws in an empty pop bottle I keep in the van...put all the screws in it and tighten the lid on....you can kick it round the room for the next day or two and never loose a screw(y)

I take them home and fix my own sockets on properly for when I lost my own haha

Here's a little one I like especially for areas were there prone to cracking I usually bead it and purposely leave a gap to do it

Sticking skim stop beads with the contact adhesive out of a spray can. Top notch.

Edit: just read thread title and it's hardly the best ever lol just a more recent one!!!

Evening all!
A tip that i mentioned on another post so will post it on this thread as maybe useful for some of you:

To save hassle when the plumber or customer wants screw holes left somewhere just mark on the floor inline with the screws then screw them right in, skim over, when set run a magnet up from the line you marked and unscrew. Screw holes found with no faff!

I did that then lost my magnet! :(

If you have to take a radiator off with TRV's put a 5pence piece in the bottom of the valve. When you then screw the valve down it does shut the water off!
I've had too many that still leak even when shut fully off (past the frost setting) in the past.

My favourite so far is the magnet for rad screws....i bought a magnet for £1.50 which I just stick to the bulkhead of the van and use it every time I do a radiator wall

Best advice I was giving was to leave it alone and stop playing with it.

Or was that the doctor on my chronic masterbation problem, can't remember but all the same anyhow!
