Why not spray domestic

Sure you can Mpfinish has a set time of 3 and a bit hours after spraying. Spray a wall then flatten it off. Keep doing that until u have a 60 - 80 meter hit on then clean it out. Takes 5 mins.

Do that 2 times a day

mp finish is different to multi ? with drying etc ? and how long was the set mate out of interest ? i have used machines quite a bit on mp75 , Maxit mono etc just cant see a machine being faster than any sort of thin coat plaster ( not render )

Nah f**k ceilings with gypsum. It's faster but it's messy as f**k and a mission to trowel it all up.

Hence we moved over to airless

Why a lab on the machine? It mixes and sprays a bag every 5 minutes and holds 2 and a half bags
So in terms of my original example of the 25ft x 13ft room it can be done with gypsum and 2 spreads?
@flynnyman I not bothered about the speed or making more money just weather it's possible.if me and my plasterer could do the room with skim set up this would be of interest to me when I do buy a machine..to be fair Ryan and pft both said honestly to me that machines are aimed more at outdoor work but if the curry dude can do with two plasterer and no labourer I am all ears

Yes it can be done but why would you?

Are you talking domestic or site? If you doing ceilings it is quite messy but it can be managed.

You would piss a room that size

Ceilings are messy but it only takes a couple of minutes to throw a tarp down, when you have finished spraying pick the tarp up.
I'm gonna spray my next load of ceilings as they are at 2.7 high that way will be easier for us.

Yes it can be done but why would you?
I presuming it would be less troweling with mt I.e no putting on just spray and flatten with speedskim and final trowel with mt..also no taking gear out of bucket would equal less stress on the body in general..but like I said I have no experience with machine so this is just what I presume.fair enough got to set up and clean machine but thinking it would make for better days at work.

You would have the other spread stood watching waiting for it to go on then both stood looking at each other lol multie is two coats but we all know you can get away with one, there is a big difference flattening with a speedskom over a troweled on finish rather than a sprayed finish. My opinion is it would blister to f**k coz of all the air that would get trapped on the flattening of it. Also filling out beads would be a must coz it goes on thicker in all honesty I don't see how it could possibly be worth it.

Also have you heard the noise these machines make? I know a lot of my customers wouldn't have it on their house or wouldn't for a second time.

Flipping heck man

Thanks anyway everyone who has given there honest views of using there machines

Much appreciated from plonker Pete

Sorry it's not everything you wanted to hear :( someone needs to try and balance out the bullshit I've been reading on this forum lately :)

No worries the thread has confirmed I am going to have a few weeks rental on the skim set up to have a bash myself ...I can appreciate everyone's views.

Good man go for it yourself and develop personal experience.

I would recommend that if you are hiring a machine to sample spraying that you do not hire a mixing machine. Whilst it's awsome to just chuck a bag on and let it mix you WILL mess it up and it will tarnish ur view. It takes more then a few weeks to master the setup and imho it's not worth making it to complicated for a demo. Better to concentrate on the spraying ect.

I reckon a eze24 with a skimming Lance would be best for a trail. If you like it then think about a Ritmo or m100

How much spraying you done with a skim setup?
Like I've said in my previous posts but not as blunt "I'm not a f**k**g idiot" :) you can try and sell it and push it till the cows come home machines are never gonna fit in on domestic skimming end of. I will tell you what and I've said it before I will race your machine on a skim set up one on one and the winner gets the measure and gets to keep the machine :)

And where do you get the eze24? Oh and pick up a mega mixer as well to mix the gear.

It's a nice idea but if you have to mask everything up and practically finnish tape and joint , its just not practical, plus that's with nothing going wrong where in Mrs Jones front garden or brick paving are you going to wash machine in evening when you finnish up, all ways be minded of the worst case scenario with domestics, clean up costs can very easily out weigh entire price if s**t hits the fan. If it can ,it will.

I have been spraying mp finish for 10 years. I wouldn't spray on domestic. By the time u get the machine in and out of the van set it up its not worth it. New build spraying mp finish over good board work is handy days work. No need for a labour. Just mix up what bags u need and off u go. It's a lot easier on the body. Is it faster yes because u only need to do one coat when spraying mp finish. It would take me about 10 min to spray 4 walls about 16 plasterboards. Then we would spray the walls on in another room. Then wash the machine and bucket and drill out. That takes about 5 min for 2 plasterers. But I wouldn't just buy a machine just for skim. And don't try and spray multi it is a c**t to spray and clean out the machine.

Fair enough have only ever used machines on site, we power washed every evening, could get fair messy around though. Lot of hassle for a few buckets of skim I reckon. And as I said more stuff that can go to s**t.....more stuff will go to s**t on ya.

If you did try spraying finish on domestics then I would think the Eze24 over the Ritmo. It is smaller and lighter. The Ritmo is one thing but all the other equipment that goes with it is another.

More trouble than it is worth imo.

no and why have you stolen @bobbys profile pic?
What switch? only have power, speed and control
Its like a little rocker switch on the right hand side as your looking at the control swithes. Ryan commented on it when i had it over at P1SS. Didn't follow up on it but been meaning to ask.
