    Pressure off builders and so on to get jobs turned out makes me go right through. I always check the forecasts for rain and frost and if it's imminent I will send an email or simply a text to said Builder/Customer with my concerns. If they push to go ahead then the onus isn't on me.

    There's no way you can guarantee that with just meshing and building level. Unfortunately it's brick and block not toothed together so will probably fail without an expansion bead.

    Machine can make labs lazy,not loading bags on scaffold and not having to continually knock up.

    These flat spots are misses where the surface hasn't been opened. Trouble is with trying to scratch them now is they will go lighter in colour,a bit like when you scratch concrete.

    Scratch render

    As above. To get the best patch, mask of the edge of the existing render very neatly. Overfill the patch so you can scrape back to the existing level. Once the tape is removed (Orange tape best) brush gently to soften in.
