    Spraying with test pipe

Same for me Mike, I think I think Les Lord patented that idea.
  9. A

    Spraying with test pipe

I like to see the material coming through before I add the mortar hose, just for me own piece of mind really.Even dont connect the gun till its flowing out the other end, right or wrong, we try to avoid blockages any way we can.

    Krend spec

Just dont like the coverage rate of it Jim, with the prices similar to Parex and Weber per bag(in my neck of the woods anyway) id be losing out using it.Having said that, the product looks the dogs when done right.
  11. A

    Mono bay

You can get these products from Encon or Penlaw.
  12. A

    Mono bay

Same as Marshy ,10mm beads, get maite on nice and tight with mesh and you still have enough depth to Mono.
  13. A

    Spray jet

Makes sense that, especially renders which are silicon based.
  14. A

    Spray jet

Do you mean the plastic insert with the fine hole?,the Ritmos have them as standard but my G4 doesn't. Wouldnt think it would make much difference to be fair, but there on the Ritmos for some reason or another.

    K rend advice

No worries Keith think we crossed wires somewhere in this thread, but back to the OP, get the big double scratchers off Les, they take the heat right out of the scrape.
  16. A

    K rend advice

Who said anything about next day or same day, wasnt trying to make anything a better way.We always run over lightly with a worn down scratcher to fine down the finish, especially on fine renders such as K rend or Parex gf..Not sure where your trying to go with this Keith.
  17. A

    K rend advice

    Yeah proper confusing that Keith.
  18. A

    K rend advice

Get the 8mm for the first spin over and use the 6mm for the final light scrape

    Weber OCR on new blockwork

Sorry Bobby , I meant like not dislike , Danny this new fandangelled set up is no good for my big thumbs lol.
  20. A

    Parex Paramurex 2 coat.

All depends on your speed ,80 m is a fair chunk to hand apply in the day so you may want to run it over 2.
  21. A

    Parex Paramurex 2 coat.

Give it 2 passes, first with mesh , scratch and let it pick up for an hour or so then bang your second coat. Its good gear and easy to work, are you spraying it? If you have used Ocr, its pretty much the same and weve not had any problems with shrinkage cracks.
  22. A

    What finish and How?

Alpine the self cleaning render lol, stock it at a builders merchants near me about £38 quid a bag.
  23. A

    Parex Paramurex 2 coat.

Done this a few times, Parmurex can be meshed and topped in the day.It doesnt slump and can be put on at a decent thickness
  24. A

    top stone or not?

Needs a coping really, but they do look nice without, well for a few weeks anyway
  25. A

    Retarder for next day scrapes

Andy, whatever you do, dont use Microgobetis to kill the suction if your using Weber pral as your crossing manufacturers and the render gods will never forgive you.
  26. A

    Retarder for next day scrapes

Parex time now, Weber for summer.
  27. A

    monocouche

Free d , Only going off Parex warranties from what ive quoted, but for the hairsplitters, yes , it got Microd first.
  28. A

    monocouche

Battoning with slate battons is a way to level old fooked brickwork, base rend, fix beads and then Mono from there.
  29. A

    monocouche

Letss say you had a dodgy wall and it needed battoning and straightening using parex products. We get the spec of Parmurex to level the substrate, mesh and scratch.Next day top with Monorex. Would that be acceptable ?,as the Parmurex is uncolured Mono as is Ocr.
  30. A

    monocouche

Not pullin yer leg Keith , it works, as said earlier in the thread theres more than one way to skin a cat. A mate of mine was manufacturing his own gear 20 plus years ago TMD rendering and the components were all pretty basic , we used a good bit of it and it was decent gear. The only problems...
  31. A

    monocouche

Absoluteley hilarious, what do you guys suppose is in these magic bags, the material is coloured sand/cement/binders and fines.Never followed the render bible or render police,30 years in and learning still but kinda stand by my work aswell.
  32. A

    monocouche

Keith its simple, new block, loads of area, get the meshing outta the way, spray loads on the next day and finish
  33. A

    Monoblanco

Its a lot whiter than G00 Rigs, even whiter than Weber Chalk.
  34. A

    monocouche

Weve done it on big areas when a full mesh is required and topped the next day. Its sometimes just the logistics of how the job pans out.
  35. A

    monocouche

Maybe not with K rend but done it with parex a few times with no problems.Make sure its well scratched .
  36. A

    Water stains to Mono

Ok well just leave it there.
  37. A

    Water stains to Mono

No mate, just your reply sounded a bit abrupt .
  38. A

    Water stains to Mono

My apologies, just quickly scanned the pic and thought it was a pissed expansion joint, just saying like.
  39. A

    Water stains to Mono

It may even out as it looks to be drying still, that scaffold pole looks close mind.
  40. A

    Best place for k rend

    And me J
  41. A

    Parex Monorex GF

Slightly different water setting I think we sprayed a bit wetter with the G4
  42. A

    monocouche over pebbledash

Depends Keith, sometimes you can smash the substrate to bits kangoing the old stuff off , thus making the bicks/blocks live . Best thing to do is get a manufacturers spec so your backsides covered.
  43. A

    Keeping wet edge with krend

Got to be organised, have another spread with you if its a decent area(I take it your handballing)and a decent lab knocking up in front. Plan the area and and you will be fine.
  44. A

    Pump tester

Long shot but anybody on here got a spare pump tester they could sell me as the brain dead apprentice left ours on site last week. I know that they are about £75 new inc but just thought I'd ask on here first lol.
  45. A

    Parmurex 15mm on Microgobetis

Back to your original question Rigs, Parmurex is just uncoloured mono so ideal on Micro.
  46. A

    Changing flow bottle on Ritmo

Got the new bottle to change it Mike, just wondering if there is an easy procedure to swapping it over?
  47. A

    Changing flow bottle on Ritmo

No got it second hand some time ago but been using the three phase all year.
  48. A

    Changing flow bottle on Ritmo

Any of you chaps done this yourselves?, started up the machine yesterday and there were loads of fissure cracks in the bottle. Eventually the water pissed out leaving the Ritmo redundant .Cant understand it as I drain the water everytime its cleaned out so Jack frost doesn't crack it.
  49. A

Is the modern rendering sustems easier or harder than the old ways? But

We always spend time on the ruling John and my mates a stickler for it. He brings the feather edge up the scaffold and jabs the render showing low spots which are sprayed back in and re derbied. Makes a big difference when the I section comes out and it's pretty much there already. As for yer...
