    Thats why I use ripped up cardboard from the tile boxes as spacers. Also levelling systems with cheap large tiles and porcelain a must...some wickes cheap tiles are 2/3 mm different in size.

    Was just gonna say that....back buttering is to aid adhesion on heavy or large tiles. Simply not required on small format tiles

    If tiles not perfect go by eye or laser on floor use spacers made from cardboard from the tile box for walls as these can be made to suit different width requirements

    But on the same course there was a lad fitting boilers at weekends and getting his mate to sign it off ...no checks or building regs compliance and we went even on a gas course. Go figure

    Wouldn't happen on a plumbers forum ....would be all roughly in agreement on a price to fit a boiler and not many would deviate from the price .. its called unison and helps protect rates

    Its an aesthetics clinic being run by a doctor within a grade 1 listed barn/ cottage she has had the listed consent people out and ran though everything with them for approval. Even had to retain the existing door knobs etc. So ye multi in a few areas was fine / approved.

    Hi friend of mine had some plasterwork done in a grade 1 listed building. Spread has skimmed few walls and left the odd splash mark of multi on the sandstone face. Any ideas how to remove. Ps was only plastered today ..its the marks on 2nd pic where multi meets sandstone
