Have to disagree with last bit . Best plasterer I know doesn't even go on facebook. I know way more cowboys with fancy websites etc.
( need to set one up)

Bathroom fitters is the one for sure, customers don't seem to mind paying 2k for a week's work because they can rip up an old floor, put a new one down, use some push pipe, fit a new suite and tile round the bath. None of it's difficult but because they do it all customers don't seem to realise how much they're paying for a week's labour

You also pay 12% national insurance so it probably averages out about 20% for everything you're earning in fairness..

Well a new bathroom is worth that. Having some walls smooth enough for them to paint isn’t is it. It’s that simple

Ever thought that some of us enjoy plastering? It's good money (for some).. satisfying.. you are your own boss etc/

Being successful at life isn't just about how well you do in school.. for thick plasterers we aren't really doing to badly are we, just because you haven't the cognitive ability to comprehend anything outside of your assumed day rate doesn't mean others don't.

As Algee says.. it's a big world, stop limiting yourself, you are almost looking down at yourself for being a mere plasterer.. it's pathetic.. have some pride, you'd be surprised how much respect a lot of the public have for what trades do.

So it's now reasonable for a bathroom fitter to be on £400 a day but plasterers should earn £170?

Personally I hate tiles. Wished i never bothered in my bathroom. Dreading changing em.
Round shower areas with good extractor and keep window open

Sorry I will just reply to that bathroom footer thing.

a customer would be happy to pay for a new bathroom as it’s a start to finish Job.
All you’re doing an in between job which still requires work afterwards. painting, new carpets etc. You’re a bit part player in every room you do.

just because you dont pay tax on your first 10k doesn't mean you wont get a tax bill for going in a higher tax bracket.

Again you're making up stuff. I said bathroom fitters can get £400 a day for a bathroom. I haven't said I must earn that aswell? Just baffles me you think your worth is less than half of that

Right lads.. the Oracle has spoken, we are all deluded, our tax returns and invoices are all fabricated.. we just need to accept we are the lowest of the low unfortunately.

I almost feel sorry for him.. maybe we should get our customers to message him with references about how happy they were at being over charged, maybe some pictures stood next to smiling customers too, or would he think it's been photoshopped?? If you’re on £400 a day I doubt you’d spend all weekend on a forum talking about plastering. bottom feeding £160-170 a day.
Higher tax bracket is 50,000 and we’ve already established I’m on around 40k.
