The stuff was still stuck to the wall and ceiling
One was a ceiling i done 14 months ago.
Used it for 10 years never had a issue.
We aint the first a few years back it was reported on this forum,failures had occured months after they had done them,also grit had bonded to surface.Now we are all bricking it waiting for ticking time bomb fails

Nope, not me, I'm just a patcher chancer me. But was considering "extending my skillbase" at home, then the missus put her foot down - likes artex apparently. Or didn't trust me to do good job?? Hmm...Someone else had trouble with this, @Brimstone possibly

I did I used it over a glossed area and old walls, it went over really nice and controlled the suction well.Has anyone ever skimmed over this. A customer got some for some gloss paint we dotted on to.

I always do a tape pull test of the surface before using primers.
I agree fella, but on occasion I've had an issue with skim sliding on the paint...I stopped using grit on silky surfaces as used to be able to peel it off and it didn't fill me with confidence. I now only use pva and SBR . I like pva as it re-emulsifies with the wet plaster and then re-sticks itself to the substrate.
