I say it as I see it. I’ve been a long time conservative voter much to Mrs disgust but I’ve slowly been seeing the bigger picture over the years and now Corbyn is gone and after this debacle I’ll defo be turning to Labour.

Everybody and his dog globally tried to buy more PPE and swabs all at the same time. The world's global production simple was not and is not up to it. Shipments being nicked by other's, big countries waving dollars to buy up entire productions, etc etc. Shutdown publically un-enforceable until enough evidence to convince people it was real.
The "Delayed hump" and herd immunity without a vacinne was the only viable option in the Disaster Playbook (in UK public domain in 2017) irrespective of what government was in power, anywhere in Europe. The USA plan was to shut the borders and contain in small areas, and pretend it wasn't happening - see US method for last Ebola outbreak.
 
People on fb paying 20 and 30 quid a bag for gear I assume there using on domestic jobs.What jobs they on to justify paying crazy prices like that.
Also funny how people asking for gear all doing jobs for nhs workers # myarse

In another thread , @Nath80 said how complex can it be cis every self employed person has a tax return , now he’s saying it’s an enormous amount of man power , just being argumentative like all lefties are:rolleyes:

But its not going to be a press of a button to get an average and then 5 million emails sent out, then for them to transfer 5 million amounts of money to bank accounts they don't have on record. To think it is simply some bloke say there and press a button to magic billions in payment deserved to be patronised.

Russia closed its borders and anyone arriving had to go into 2 week quarantine, but now they have people dying of it , it’s an impossible task

We had the power of hindsight. We're months behind other countries, we left it to the point of asking Dyson to make ventilators a few weeks ago! There's people using 3d printers in their living rooms to make masks. The government could and should of planned for this

I’ve had rucks with my parents over this over last few years, they are both Conservative voters (reason I was)
If I receive anything from Inheritance I’m lucky as a lot of people don’t and will not I couldn’t Care less I won’t get full amount if it helps other people out,
My kids have Been brought up to know not to be selfish and too help others and they will be the same.

Yes it's easy to get the figures as we've sent them to them. To then process them all is clearly going to take some time considering the workload on the government. To then ask us all if we've worked march April or may and then work that out seems far fetched to me

Id gladly pay another 1/or 2 p in a£ tax if I thought ur mrs would get more wages each week , but yea I’m a scum Tory

No point discussing it I don't think mate. Every Tory repeats the exact same stuff, half or more of which simply isn't true, but there's no telling them. One of my mates has 3 kids under 5, voted Tory as "labour would increase his taxes" I pointed out he'd save over 2k a month in childcare with labours policies. Just a blank face in return. They'll vote for who they're told too

HMRC don't work like that as anyone who's dealt with them should know. They'll take an average then send out a demand for whatever they think is the correct figure. HMRC don't have to prove or provide any evidence of what they think you owe. The onus is on you to provide evidence that their calculation is incorrect, and what you actually owe, but again you must be able to prove it. "I wasn't working then, honest." isn't going to work.

Didn’t say you were scum mate only scum are peods, rapists and murderers IMVHO. I’ve voted Tory for 20 years and I just don’t see how i can earn more then double then my Mrs just by spreading s**t up the walls. Just think NHS are under paid and government haven’t done well here, well as well as they should of, should of been better prepared. End of the day we are all humans and some people want what’s best for them and their families and others and some just for themselves and families.
