On board work superteds are ok reskims?? No chance as they glide over imperfections not flatten them if you doubt what i say just shine a light on your work then get back to me

Btw when I put cross I just meant last whip. Been doing my last proper cross with my MT and a spray if needed. Tried the supaflex and it seems to tiger. Maybe I just need to use it earlier and adjust timings. get a nice finish with the MT to be fair but the flexi are easier on the wrist hey
Horrible are them black plastic things pal no place for them in skimming..skipped mine after a few weeks

My sf Nela leaving tiger marks as well, have to whip out the mt and trowel like f**k to get rid of them so sort of defeats the purpose a bit. Don't think it has anything to do with time of trowelling up... Anyone have bother with th mediflex leaving tiger marks??

Tiger stripes are normally caused by: timing, angle of the trowel or material amongst other things. It's not normally the trowel that's the cause of tiger stripes.

They have been around for a long time

Im sick and tired of being one of very few who actually say stuff as it is and not fobbed off by freebies etc
Marshy ive never had a freebie off here in my life..dint think I got to u that much marshy I actually respect u on here..uve got me wrong marshy

Yeah I'd agree, I'd say it's just my timing, as I said I only get it out now n again during an easy set. Might give it more of a chance and go a few minutes earlier than the MT

Yeah, Could be the material.
Thought it was the Nela As I've been using mt trowels past 15 yrs and had no bother whatsoever, only noticed them whenever I used the Nela.

I can't get on with the s*p*r*lex in the winter no matter what I try. I can in the summer. And am not getting on it to early. I've been back on jobs that had the first coat of paint and when the light shining down the wall it was s**t looking tbh. Am back doing the full set with my speedskim and mt. And speedskim and Eze spat for ceilings. But just because I can't get on with the s*p*r*lex in winter it doesn't mean someone else can't. I did this with the s*p*r*lex and when it was painted it looked s**t.

At least your honest pal. I looked at some reskims i did using a superted and i was ashamed when i saw the painted result. On plasterboard a superted is ok but om a reskim ?? No chance. It looksfine etc but when thelights or daylight shines on it it wont look as good as you think it does

I would debate all day I don't think it is a good trowel, yet it does get good reviews and no malice to the spreads who like it.
Only plasterboard bang flat then it can be used, then only at certain stage. It does close plaster and aid a quicker set sometimes but I'm off it now.
I look for finish in side on shallow light and this trowel produces by far worst finish.exactly as picture above by clemo shows.

It is purely designed as a finishing trowel. I have to say the winter months have seen a difference in reviews - but, this also comes in when there are very poor reviews for materials... Many are tying the two together also.

Don't get me wrong, the reviews are still great and flying in. When the trowel is used at the right times the results are fantastic from what we get told daily and also see

Am I on another thread on here? The nela is s**t for flattening which ive stated about 100,000 times..

I don't use a s*p*r*lex for flattening but im sure when it first came out there was videos from nela or maybe P1ss saying you could use it from start to finish

I wasn't plugging, was purely saying I liked the trowel. But as you all state. It's a finishing trowel and if you use it too early in your set it will show once painted. I've seen it in my work and was really surprised as it looked good before painting. I actually use the super flex for easy fill now and before you all say, not to go over my work
I do think the mediflex is a good trowel though.
But do seem to stick to the Refina premium/Tysack/Marshalltown for 85% of the set.

It is crap for flattening I agree, but if you watch some of the videos, guys say it can accelerate the set.but then it is getting used at wrong time as it has been designed for last skelp as one stop shop say.
