agree extremely so when u consider at worst with some trowels it may be a 2 mm radius but. if you can get one made as i did then u have no radius :RpS_thumbup:

old boys never used them coz they wernt around, simple.... much neater hitting touching walls together and twitchering them in, going back to done walls and getting gear on them and having to clean it off etc is much more fuss that just running a corner tool up the wall.
Did this bloke really think I was going to stay an let him have my pants down on the price per plot when I measured up an seen that it was actully around 50 bags not 35, I rang him and asked why he said 35 bags an he said that his other lads are getting 15 meters per bag, big 4 bed 35 bags don't think so, anyway I fcuked off, now I know the type of bloke who says no angle tools, clowns who don't know what they are talking about, what a joker.

because most people do them wrong.the modern corner tool or butterfly is ment to be used before plastering the walls.
ie only the corners run with tool and feathered into board then skimmed

When they form the angle, the metal sheet is bent and there is always a slight radius (1mm normally but it can be 2mm) on some designs.
Contrary to the opinions of some members (not aimed at you), I can produce the same quality finish from both wet and hard angles: anyone who is leaving lines from the wings is using it wrong

I know this job has gone tits up but here's my opinion on some comments.
You've accepted a job on his terms and then turn round and say you're going to go against his wishes, you are in the wrong and don't deserve the work.
Anyone worth their salt would be able to tell if an internal trowel/twitcher had been used.
I to would want to run a tape round to confirm the metreage and have never heard of pricing by the bag but I've never known a site agent that would have a clue as to the metreage of the plots.
When I had sites on the go I always gave the guys a plot price and if they asked for a metreage I just told them to measure themselves as this saved any arguments i.e. I say it's 454m2 and they come back saying "no it's 460m2". That's the price per plot take it or leave it.
Personally I prefer to do opposites and find it a quick and efficient method which leaves really sharp internals but if a client said they wanted all internals done with a internal trowel I wouldn't bat an eyelid.
Also if this bloke had been genuine and a house did take 35 bags no one allows 10m2 per bag throughout a house they'd feel lucky to get 9m2. This would have meant there were 315m2 per plot at £980, that's £3.11 m2 and the first thing you do is come on here moaning about how he wants it done. Weirdo!

your reply still doesnt explain how you can tell.............if you use a corner trowel and trowel out any lines left how can you tell??
there is a slight radius in the internal when you use a twitcher. there is no small radius when you use hard angles.
we like to see a twitched internals, both on walls and ceiling that is why we skim the ceilings and walls at the same time.
they use to call hard angles cheating.

were you wanking when you typed this?
it was just the way that we where taught, twitch all internals. the only time we use hard angles would be on a obtuse angle on like a bay window.
but then again we are not working on the tape on a building site.
