No van, once again - this time will coincide with my week off working ….

Had my first mot @15,000 miles PASS

Probably hold onto van another year
Couple of mods planned for new year ,to keep me invested.

Arghhh! The Joys of air suspension .
Frozen tank /check valves on compressors are frozen
Can not air up
Moff to screw fix for a small heater blower to defrost …..
Bring on next week temps @ 10degrees

Joys of air- (lesson -do not air out in freezing temps -keep @ ride height when parked up -then it’s not calling for air when you set off .

Tank is under the van ,so are the 2 compressors , possible it can /will freeze -(first time for me in 2+ years

Had a the major oil service @ vw yesterday as included in the purchase

I now need to take out a all in plan to continue warranty /service /breakdown/mot

Off for an air suspension service next week


I Got some braided brake hoses to fit
Going to put 20inch vossen alloys same as these however flat black

No van
Then a big brake upgrade
To keep me invested really .ha

Can you expand on that please? I know zip about air suspension, although I do remember those old Citroen cars that rose as the engine started and dropped as it was turned off.

You’re all in won’t be worth pish with all your mods. They’ll just take your money.

My motor home came with air ride suspension. Handy to hide overloaded from ministry, and comfort drive and cornering, and for levelling van on field campsites. But I wouldn't have paid extra for it.
