dnt like the 4x2 malc a mate was goin to buy one a few months ago i went with him to look at it i think the wheels look too small for the body, still in the snow last year the 4x4 and diff lock worked a treat

Always had Sprinters, never had any real problems with them, the service and aftercare you get from Merc is like no other dealer IMO, so ill be getting another next year.

this is the thing everyone has a horror story about everything nowadays so its personal preferance and fcuk what anyone else thinks haha

they must be outside the school because they can with thier working gears and rust free bodywork:RpS_sneaky::flapper:

the 4x2 is just a work horse. easy to load, tough vehicle, carry 8x4 sheets ,3m beads 3.6 lenths of cove,on the angle, lethal in bad weather

thing is mine had to double as work and personal so i wanted something that works well for work but looks nice when im just driving it everyday

8x 4s fit under the cover of the 4x2s . but this is a very low crime area so we do not worry about a few buckets

mines got a truck safe in the back and the tail gate has triple locks i cnt get 8x4s in but 6x3 will go in leaving about a foot out and ijust strap the tailgate down small jobs just get the 6x3s 8x4s get delivered

in what way if its a small job i can fit my gear and materials in (ive got a roof rack on it aswell) if its a big job i would only take enough mats for the first day with a delivery organised for that day aswell, fcuk goin merchants every other day to get stuff, plus the bigger the order i make the bigger the discount i get

I've always thought that pick ups were more for posers than tradesmen. Just my opinion, they're not really built for purpose are they.

ive had one just over a year now now had a problem with anything, as i said poseing had nothing to do with it nice looking crew cab vans are like rocking horse shite to find and the truck does everything i want it to takes the wife and kids in comfort and carries all my gear when im goin to work, also if i want to pick up gear and im on a big job 9 times out of ten my tools are off the motor locked away on site, so im running around empty. i can fit my big van vault in the back so i can lock my tools away on a job just take it out truck and bolt it to site floor

Great if it works for you, I prefer to have a van for work and a car for the family. I could think of no bigger pain in the ass than taking all my tackle out of the van each time I rolled up to a job, followed by the van vault, bolting the van vault to the floor then putting all the tools in it again. Either you have hardly any tools, do small jobs or lose loads of money.

For me it's all about maximizing your time from when you leave the house to when you return home. ie, the more time you have a trowel in your hand the more money you make. Quite often that means chucking half a dozen boards in the van instead of waiting for a delivery.

Looks a nice wagon but no good for an active gang though, well not ours.

i have plenty of tools but whats the point in carying more than you need so id only get off what i need anyway, i do all different sized jobs some small some big, and i dnt loose money like i said i take materials with me to start a job with a delivery ariving the same day, the van vault only comes out on jobs that im goin to be on for a while, again no point in carying gear and unloading it everyday and if i leave it on site i know its safe, also i wouldnt take all my gear out the truck then the van vault then put them all back in the vault because id be using the tools so they wnt go in the safe till the end of the day.
also and this is just a question so dnt take this the wrong way but how are you maximising your time goin to the merchants every day or every other day, when you could like i said get enough to get you goin and have a load delivered thus saving you fuel and time goin to the merchants all the time, now whos losing money haha:RpS_wink:

owls... has a pick up, warrior.....has a pick up i would say there 2 pretty busy spreads for ya straight away sooooo......
i never said to you you have to get one, u asked me what they were like and i told you how i get on with my one, and apparently that means that i just loose money all the time have no tools and only piss ball about with little jobs???? you dnt like my motor thats fine stick with the broken merc, there is no right or wrong my way works for me yours for you
