I've seen a number of posts saying how hard a living plastering is. I'm self building a house, and all I can say is plasterers have the easiest time of it. I can't believe the amount of downtime in the profession. Complain all day about how imperfect the surface they are plastering on to, and how joiner/brickie/por sod who boarded should have done their job better. I hold down a full time job, and come home to build the house for fun, and yet the plasterers complain about how early 9am in the morning is, how difficulty the poor quality scrim tape I have provided is, or how cold the site is, the list goes on.
I take home 1500 quid a month, no chance of foreigners, and work around 50 hours a week with no overtime and no pay rise for 6 years, studied to degree level, and work in a so called profession, life always sounds greener on the other side. Life is hard for most of us at the moment.
