It’s the materials mate they are dog s**t! Not a patch on what they used to be. Hence an open market for these f**k**g plastic trowels!

Ok I’ll teach you something mate!
Ss is a lot stiffer than carbon and takes a lot longer to wear in, also once it is worn in shortly after it will warp and go into an s shape down the edge. Carbon is a far more superior trowel because even though it rusts and (you have to baby it for a while) once it’s broken in it will become a lot sharper on the edge and hold it’s shape and will be flexible as well.

So how do they differ in use? I stand by the finish they leave is the same.

Done both, before I even knew it was an experement ! Carbon is King !
 
Wonder if decorator is having same problems with his brushes can't beat a Harrison but that Leyland paint is gritty as f**k these days!!! C'mon Dulux sort it out FFS:tonto:

Straight away after putting on to get a uniform flat.
Then towards the end brother, last two sweeps gets it spot on so long as the spread is firm but wet enough there’s no drag or issue. Make it just your first and final trowel until you get used to it.
Saves about 2 hours maybe? Dunno
It’s just about finding the sweet spot when it takes to the finish.

To each their own though eh.

Carbons wear out of shape quicker then a ss by a mile,what u blabbing on about
 
Did this all way through with the ox plastic spastic! Didn't like it personally maybe I need to persist with it and get my timing right but I guess it gets better the more it wears in? Don't get me wrong was bang on to look and touch il go back and see how it's dried later in week! IL persist with it for a while and update (y)
