Thanks unifinish For costing me

Last rant before I go swimming pool seeing as you and half whit are still battling for a freak out, 2 posts on here seen is what I meant, hstoke one and another about 6 months ago that he should of contacted bg about ( I can remember it so I'm sure Flynny has it mark in his special post selection somewhere) and 2500 bags was in total since first used till now (which you both knew anyway) @mixuptwice is right what a stupid thing arguing about bags of plaster when to me main point is @hstoke gets this resolved which is what matters
Catch you tomorrow

That's still verses nil to pva and uni though ;)

@hstoke may have a point, but unfortunately for @BritishGypsum you have made most of us on here hate the product more than maybe we would of done without your input

Your boyfriend must love you.
Go away on holiday and your on the plasterers forum!'

I can't for the life of me see why you and flynny (I understand about GPS) are so down on vincey, your like a couple of 2 yr olds.

I've started working free lance for BG and I'm one of the assessors that go and check who's at fault for a plastering problem, BG or the plasterer. I have been told by them that whatever decision I come to about the failure, plasterer or product, they will stand by. And that means I can be 100% impartial. If the op was a member of the BG certified scheme his work would have been guaranteed for 2 years. I'm not sure if he is a member by the way.
It seems like a kids playground tit for tat spat on here sometimes.

Rant over

Btw guaranteed for two years, so the plasterer still has to go back and do it for free anyway lol

I'm not going to waste much time on you but here is your answer. WRONG . If it's the plasterers fault, it is his responsibility to repair it. If it's a product failure it's BG's responsibility.
Now try and wrap your head around it, I'm not explaining again, it's NOT that difficult

But only if British gypsum products have been used though ?

So what are all these faults you go to look at ?

The thread could of been cleared up on page one it's simple, the job failed and it's probably failed coz it's not stuck. The problem I would say is the background and it's not been accessed correctly (no dig at the guy who done it). I've looked at three artex ceilings today and recommended overboard on all of them one with coving I said needed coming down. I think priming the ceiling you learn so much about the background but I think some will miss it out thinking uni does it all. I've gave my opinion on uni so I'm not gonna give it again. Xx

100% agree Flynny. I don't use unifinish, I've tried it but I'm not confident about it. I always recommend overboard but we all know a lot of customers won't pay for it. Second suggestion, thistle bond it and bond/skim, all covered by BG guarantee. 3rd cheapo suggestion, Pva and skim and I won't even give a personal guarantee, all in writing.
As I said, I'm 100% impartial

One I looked at today she had a heavy pattern and coving she would of lost most of the coving but some fella had priced to reskim it I recon she will go with him. I never let a customer tell me how to do it, there has been times when there was a cornice so went with pre grit, I've been using it for about five years topped up with a bit of PVA but don't tell your gaffer ;)

Just to keep u kids in the playground happy while the headmistress is away on holiday under his palm trees
Gary phoned me from BG today he's popping over on Wednesday take a look

Not guaranteed if the artex fails due to the moisture and weight so would be best just go with the overboard. Only fails I've had over artex is artex peeling away

Even out of date before they leave the factory lol

Same weight, same moisture, you're covered if you use thistle bond it. As said earlier elsewhere, disclaimer form issued should state you cannot guarantee historic work, I.e previous substrate

Toys made in China that may have small parts a child could swallow.

Flynny could you do a colouring in book for someone on here ?

Avoiding the question lol, you said you worked freelance for bg assessing faulty work to determine what's at fault, I have asked what faults are we talking very simple ?

Very helpful knowledgeable guy, he's on this forum too

Yes very simple. Maybe flynny you should only have one colour in the colouring in book

Only ones I can think off is plaster delaminating or crazing.

Still avoiding lol, just like the scheme you cannot talk about it lol

Jesus, I'm not sure if you're as thick as you post or if you're just a serial troll. This is an answer to another one of your ridiculous questions.

Right now read this slowly and put your finger under every word.

The original poster started this thread saying the plaster had fallen off the ceiling. There is a fault somewhere, plaster or plasterer, sounds like plaster. The manufacturers are sending out another plasterer to see what the fault is

I'm not replying to any more of your sh1te, ask one of the big boys at school on Monday

You can make me out to be thick all you like my friend, if I do a job and get a call back because a ceiling or wall I skimmed fails, I'd think oh s**t how has this happened and put it right, I'm not sure I'd ever feel the need to call bg to blame them, unless I'm using uni finish and it fails, so are your call outs to assess who or what is at fault mainly uni ? Because I just do not see why else another plasterer would need to come and check what has gone wrong, but hey I'm thick though

Aha. Quite a few comebacks then. I rest my case
