Hi @Donzo,

No plans at the moment, but it would be good to understand where you would use a faster setting product!
Hi,small works would benefit for me.
On residential property's that are occupied.patch ups,one wall skim.
I would love a undercoat that can set in less than 60 mins and a finish that sets in less than 60 mins.I could then
Take on more small jobs rather than hanging about waiting on longer set durations On small jobs.
Thanks

That makes a lot of sense... or maybe just an additive sachet to add to the mix

Local authority, council plasterers are bursting for fast sets,I worked with one for 20 years and it was awful if you had 10 small jobs to do In a day.
Guess what they never got 2,3 coat
Quality suffered.I know most tricks to push it on but want a controlled
Set.

That sounds like a good way danny if it was possible , obviously cant charge the world for it either @BritishGypsum lol saves them having to get big bags into stock everywhere , just a little hanger with them in or something ! Or even a freebie off bg somehow ?!? That sounds the best

Its not even as if they need to make a packet , it can just be white with the name on . Its only going to be used by pros as it sets to quick for learners in anyway . So doesnt need no gimmicks if it works it would sell

Your correct the demand is their,I just do not understand why their is No plaster on the market in. They had a plaster called carlite stucco 30 years ago,it was grey, went like a rocket when added to finish, but was removed from market.

Can't be too difficult, here's British Gypsums Fast As F*ck Finish

@BritishGypsum , is all your Multi made the same. theres a deffinate difference in the quality of the stuff i get from Gibbs & Dandy (or rather the gear the builder gets).I never normally have issues with any of the Multi, buts its always better from a Merchants

Hi KebabKing,

We have checks to make sure that it is as consistent as possible, however, once it’s left British Gypsum there will be differences in how long it has travelled, the environment it is in and how long it has been on the shelf, which will usually be the reason behind slight variations between where you buy it.

I thought the reason for having the liner in the bags was to keep the gear fresher for longer and free from contaminants??

Checked the job I used the trial gear on and it's cracked in quite a few places. Is it worth the phone call to get the rep out I wonder?

New uni finish mate ? On top of what ? Lol i wouldnt use it bar gloss paint etc but even then i would think about gritting it first ....... As im sure it would slide just the same as multi ?

Was it not cracked through to what ever you were going on top of ?
Lol..................If the background was cracked i would have at least scrimmed any cracks or hacked out any loose backing plaster.
Who are you anyway.................the god damn BG crack police......................:fuckyou:

If plasters going to crack it's going to crack wither it is multi, board or uni. I've checked a few jobs I've done and it's been fine but when there is problems on a job and your looking at what could have caused it, with unifinish's track record you would obviously blame that and that's the biggest hurdle bg have to get over.

The plaster is cracked and hollow which would suggest lack of adhesion to the back ground

Yes mate ct plastering is a sideline i work for bg , lol . Hmmm that sounds dodji to me then ..... I think its dodji with no prep , odd bits of dust etc which would normally mix in with the pva etc ..... Or just the gear dont work haha

Thanks pal been buying it for 13 a tub from tool and fix I would use it all the time its just getting time to go over to the dark side lol.

All the old boys I've worked with said bring back carlite. And why is gyprime so dear, I've heard it's the nuts but give us smaller guys a chance
