Nope the quality is not there anymore...So........ These two companies don't sponsor the site ......slag them...come on. Really Marshall town, feck Danny they having been making quality product for a few months now ! And I believe for one still are.
Hahaha too trueLabourers are not made like they used to be and kfc
My Marshall town is awesome but compare it to the new ones doesn't come close...Makita has been always on the bottom regarding quality. It's popular only because they are "cheap". I have seen two drills melted down using holecutter , in one day. No torque , just rpm's. Hilti on the other hand is on the top.
Marshaltown are still on the top.
Tyzack still have some spirite left.
Refina are still in the race.
For the rest can't make a comment - don't have any of them
Cmon Danny Marshall are and always will be the kings of plastering tools be it a bucket trowel or trowel..everything else is 2nd..Compare an old Marshall town to a new one... the quality is not there

doing alot of kitchens and doors lately. Yes i could manage with a circular saw but could also spend that Little more and get a plunge that can be used as a normal circular aswell.First ask yourself do i really need one ? or Would a half descent circular saw and guide rail do ? I ordered a plunge saw last year and sent it back unopened, I then went out and bought a descent circular saw and made a guide for it out of descent plywood. I could of stuck non-slip gear to the bottom but just use 2 speed clamps instead. Use good quality blades and, in all but a very few instances you can get the same results.
Yup it sucks... why though? Cost over quality...If you looking at it that way, yer nothing lasts as long as it used to, those days are gone, that's what I say to mrs anyway
