Said it before. Plastic trowel in the right hands is a faster set and better looking finish.

The problem is having to constantly sand them down from nicks. Even the grit from skim can mark a plazi enough to put very very hard to see lines in skim.

Gear reacts better to plastic trowels don’t care what anyone says. Also rapid sets can do 2 hour gauge lay in same mix

Dont use same gear but flattening with 18 in max takes alot of work out of it
