see BG have brought out a finish for unibond and skim that goes straight on.. no pva required its in the mix already.. sounds good..

No good over artex, and it just doesnt feel right not to glue up, but saying that the 2 places i did use it, its held up fine, i just prefer to stick with the multi finish.

They are bringing this back out, seemingly it's getting tested in house before sending bags out for plasterers to test on jobs.

i thought this thread was done and dusted for fook sake.we all know unifinsh was totally shiiiiiiiiiiiite

It's off the market, no word of it coming back, nothing on bg website, they would be mad to bring it back it has lost our trust and. Never used it, too expensive and it didn't work, that apart it was fine..

ask artisan to put the video up of the biggest and best bit of plastering hed ever done in his life, but alas he used uni finish and it all fell off:RpS_lol:

Starting a new thread, news flash for Sheffield, we will have to take it easy, some of these things will come as a shock to them ,especially about Edward abdicating and black people in England so slowly slowly guys

Bg done a site visit with us few months ago and I was asked if I would trial bags of unifinish once they had finished there in house testing.

Glasgow, they contacted me when I replied to them about doing the survey on the burst bags. Said they would be in my area and wanted to visit, was a lady and two guys came out.

And this was in 2013 ? Very big thing if they re introduce a failed product with the same branding,

Got the impression they were very keen to get this back on market. Was assured that if I was testing it it would be covered by there insurance.

Even if they did bring it back with a promise of it working correctly, would anyone trust it after last time?

It would take a lot to convince most I think.

Maybe if they gave @Danny a couple of pallets to share out, they could get some feed back.

Not that I would use it until it was trusted again.

there is a reason why call it silly suffolk!

I used our test bags of unifinish to skim a bathroom on moisture resistant boards, nice finish and as far as i know it never fell off.
The price of it in the merchants was horrific though.
