If that's what the 'experts' are promising I'd suggest stocking up on sun block and buying a kayak!

Every year we're told an I****n summer and harsh winter and apart from the bad winter around five years ago it's been mild

if we do have a hard winter, there will be no plastering to worry about.
i have seen about 3 hard winters in my working life when every thing is frozen, it is just a waste of effort and your time even trying to work with anything that requires water. just stay at home in the warm.

A Jesus don't be mentioning winter! I've been having a great run with outside work I've even forgot about it. Hoping to be of this gable in 6 days then hoping another good dry run to get one last pillar finished and some wall then winter can come all it wants.

what in the name of good f**k is plasterman buying thermal socks for! Sure he lives in London. Them bhoys don't know what winter it. You want to head to west of Ireland or Scotland to know what winter feels like

Plastermans further up north where its a bit grimmer

I kid you not the time it snowed we were sparring the back of a house.

My old boss took us to work in his land rover, those were the days when he was a pleasure to work with.

Id like it to snow this year to be honest be a perfect excuse to get the 4x4 out and tie a kayak to the back of it.

Good few years back got a bad winter here in Dublin. Went to work with with the boss at the time, sand froze over "it'll be grand with a few kettles over it" hungry fooker. Sure enough blown the next day.

Winter 96 I had a ceiling freeze on me - Looked like a Walls Strawberry Mini Milk straight out the wrapper.
Got a space heater on it & bought it back to life!
It's in a local café & is still crack free 20 years on.

That was the last long winter I can remember ... prior to that it was every other year or so.

as long as the winters are harsh and the summers are awesome I am happy... but then you could always go on holiday for a bit for the sunshine :D
