the plaster wont soak into fibreglass strands, so technically no where near as strong as you could pull the fibres out, where as hessian scrim absorbs the plaster.
Fibreglass works, but its a nightmare to handle and hessian is far more tried and tested.

I have a good 2-3 weeks work in Liverpool for anyone who has a cscs card and is interested in doing some fibrous work. You don't need to be able to do fibrous work. It's more labouring really but I will show you have to do things to make the job more interesting for you and will happily let you...
Practice on something smaller before attempting a full mould.
Run a model.
Shellac and wax it.several times.
Paint on a layer of gel coat. Leave to set then layer it up with matt and resign.
Came from a mulberry email address. Not spoofed email. Gonna wrote up a quote and send back later. See what happens. If they pay a deposit befote manufacture then the rest before shipping then happy days. Be a nice job.
Had an email from mulberry the expensive hand bag make. Asking for a price for 700 yes 700 plaster cobels by February!
Not sure if its a wind up or not.
Frank did you get an email about this?
Well here's a good place to start. Stick a post up listing your location. Do you drive? Own tools? Experience? Why you want to do it? Etcetc. You never know.
You won't be able to scribe it.
45 it or as close to the angle as possible.
Fit up. Then fill the gaps with casting and carve as it sets. I did a post on fitting cornice a while back. Will dig it out.
