    Only problem is that you would have to follow the line of the block work,with no tolerance to straighten it out, We all know there's good block layers and bad ones, And the spread would be left with the problem IMO www.plasterwork.ie

    On average we run off 4-5 new reverse moulds a week , we keep them for about a year then throw them out when we run out of space , In the good days it would have been at least five times that

    I started my apprenticeship and did the first nine monthes in a college in Dublin , was lucky enough to be taken on by established contractor who did a bit of fibrous work, Got to prefer it to normal spreading and set up the company in 1988 Plasterwork.ie

    Yes mate , we are only supplying though , they are filming in Wicklow , there own lads do the fitting, Supplied them before for King Arthur movie we were making stone look panels in plaster for three months, There attention to detail is very exact . But sound to deal with...

    Scrimming over Crack

    For a rolls Royce job , rake out cracks with Stanley knife in a V shape, put hessian plaster rope wad in and flush fill , Then scrim , then skim It might seem OTT but it sure isn't going to crack again , we have done loads of them never a callback I'm using The Plasterers Forum Mobile App

    Lime putty would take forever , I recommend 3-1 mix casting plaster and lime , with retarder as required , (depending on size of moulding and length of run) I'm using The Plasterers Forum Mobile App
