Can't be 4rsed, especially for a small amount like that.

I have two plastic 45 gallon drums at the unit, one 3/4 full of stripped cable and the other 1/2 full of cable to be stripped. For the last three years or so I keep saying I'll get it sorted and weighed in. At this rate I'll be leaving it in my will. :LOL:

Me too. Had about 40kg of copper wire in my garage for about 5 yrs. skipped it when I moved.

there is a guy round our way that takes it unstripped and he pays really good money for it like that :D he then chops it up and sends it to china :D I use to strip the cable bit worked out that there was very little point or gain :D

got about £100 for a yellow gorilla tub the other week :D
 
I was thinking of taking my old worn stators as there stainless steel and pretty heavy for what they are plus I've got about 15 used ones in my unit but I don't think stainless is worth that much unless someone else knows different?

We could gather up the forum scrap and weigh it in to pay for a forum weekend on the p1ss. (y)

Bright copper is where it's at though. I was staying at my mate's during the summer. They stripped everything out of every job to support their niff habit. The boss sort of turned a blind eye to it until it transpired that the electricians were just skipping the middle man and weighing in brand new whole reels of armoured cable. The little monkeys.
