are they happy now?

you should practice aimsing out a wall... it can come in handy :D :D :D not that many plasterers would admit that :D
It looked ok unpainted before, said they will call me when painted if any issues

I reskimmed it...never patched a wall sized area so didnt want to risk a second f**k up, shined a halogen down the length of it as I did it so no ripples anymore flat as they come....customer was in my ear giving me s**t so wasnt in the mood to talk about it earlier....done now though
Customer in your ear?? Given u s**t and u fixed it. How do I put this. Your a tool. :sisi:

Did well to keep your cool. Well done, we all do it. Those that say not are liars and not strong enough to admit it.

go back and offer to paint it... just so you know it is perfect... that way if it is shite then you can fix it and the customer will never know :D

I know a plasterer that use to do this :D offer a really cheap painting price and it fixed his shitty plastering... both plasterer and the painter made good money... shocking but it worked for them

Your a fully grown man. An ear bashing f**k that. U show up to fix it what was the c**t's problem. I would have walked out. Don't need to listen to that. That's the reason am self employed.

Who was your painter?

I'll be honest I've never stood in someone's house doing a job and let them give me s**t. I wouldn't have it. I wouldn't do it to someone working in my house so I expect the same.

I would've walked too. I'm polite, fair, reasonable and back in a flash if there's a problem, but I take no lectures. I find it hard to turn the other cheek which is why I admire people that can. There's a fine line between letting things go and losing dignity though. Each situation is different. The boundaries blur sometimes.

I was doing a job this time last year . it was a biggish job that involved new work and a small amount of renovation and making good . the home owner who was not a builder, or had ever worked in the building but had done all of the building work along side his ex builder farther in law and shall we say that the work was at best a bit on the rough side but nothing that i could not get over.the job was going ok up until the point i was half way through when the owner thought he new better than me as to how to do my job and would not take my advice on the best way to move forward with the work . We ended up having heated words and it resulted with me walking away as i will not be told how to do a job i have been doing for thirty years especially by someone who did not have a clue . I am more than prepared to take advice from another plasterer if it is good advice .But sometime customers who have done a bit and watched to many diy shows on tv think this game is easy so f**k em get some other mug to do it.
