    Big ceiling.

I would also leave the spat for now , use it now and then since you've bought it. But get into the habit of being confident with the trowel. What size of MT are you using? try 14" on the easier walls and smaller on the awkward bits.

    Big ceiling.

When your filling the bottom of the wall , mix a small bucket of bonding to do it. I tend to use left over finish from the ceiling as id be doing it all in one day but your better doing it with bonding. Yeah next straight wall you get try putting more on with one trowel and kind of follow that...

    Big ceiling.

Try get in the habit of taking the walls down further , even throw a bit of bonding or finish to dub them out before skimming. You must be just starting out? Preparation is the key , try to control the suction and it comes easier. Try to put the stuff on evenly and a fair swipe , like top to...

Happened me a few years back , decked out a ceiling in a shopfit about 80 miles from home , walked across it with a yellow bucket of water and bang - i was a cripple! laying...

3 way split if you were good enough in my day Was a trade in its own i had to let my friend go, still a bit sore that my trade cant pay a man to help out. As much as i might moan that he was on £80 a day cash , on most jobs he was well worth it. Been gone over 8 years and i still miss him

    PVC windows

BigK , might need a bit of advice on the speedskim type things. The Nela worked out well and as i work off a hop up , one of those pole things would be well worth it if they work. If i decide to buy one ill put a shout out for a bit of advice.

    PVC windows

yeah do same but if you dont get them early enough the finish grips like feck and your spending an hour at the end of the job cleaning them and trying not to damage the PVC i might try the silicon , im thinking no way the finish would stick to it and be easy to clean. I used to tape them but on...

    PVC windows

Any tips for keeping the windows/doors clean when doing reveals etc? Been thinking spraying silicon would be quicker than taping but don't want to try it in case it damages the PVC. Any ideas to keep them clean?
