Ffs here. We wuz just joshing. You're going up to skimcoat with skimcoat, right? So yours will be the same depth, roger so far? If you fill the hole then the few mm of your skim will sit proud, capiche? So, pva your hole and the surrounding area, bung on some skimcoat and flatten and blend...
