I'd say you have to put about 5k in itWhats the outlay then for old School to New School , spraying equipment and all accessories , im getting old fast ,at 51, had to take pain killers at 5am today ,shoulder decided to be a bother , will have to find @Curry onsite some day , i have męt people who Know you so we cant be too far apart
Will wait till after the court case ,,I'd say you have to put about 5k in it
We use both the trim tex beads and the metal sheetrock beads which knauf specify. The plastic are definatley more hit resistant. If you watch the metal beads video, it’s the exact opposite, so who do you believe?

Completely agree with you, but seems to me plasterers are one of the tightest people on earth, need extensive review before purchasing a 50 quid trowel, let alone shelling out on a setup 5k plus, saying that I haven't got a machine£5k is nothing compared to what worn out joints can cost in lost earnings.
Borrow is the word ,or lend from ,so Englishif this demo trip goes well in January I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase a graco, now in my forties and feel fresh , some guys on here remind me of people in there eighties, still stuck in an romantic love era of hessian and a stupid plunger
If you got it spend it
Not got it lend it
I remember a plasterer standing over my ritmo with a fag in his mouth. How much f**k me he said. I just said how much a year u spend on that s**t hanging out of your mouth u tool now f**k back in side and skim that's what u are here for.Completely agree with you, but seems to me plasterers are one of the tightest people on earth, need extensive review before purchasing a 50 quid trowel, let alone shelling out on a setup 5k plus, saying that I haven't got a machine
Oh I know the score, but how many dodging bullets every day that their mate will turn up for work, there's a shortage of reliable people, I mean you can pay whatever, after a while they will want more. Running a ritmo on your own might be alright every now and then but not every day, running an airless on your own is similar I reckon, you might pull it off on the odd day, but you need workforce to work with you to do the meters.I remember a plasterer standing over my ritmo with a fag in his mouth. Yes a one man machine is whats required for the smaller teams , easy to operate ,clean and put awayOh I know the score, but how many dodging bullets every day that their mate will turn up for work, there's a shortage of reliable people, I mean you can pay whatever, after a while they will want more. You had some nightmares too when you got fobbed off and had to carry on on your own.
As others said, instead of doing the same amount you soon become greedy and lashing double on what you done before manually.
I could buy a machine yesterday or tomorrow, it's the case of getting someone on board to work with you. That's how I see it. Buying the machine is the easy bit, getting on with it is hard part. Airless probably has less problems but I'm just talking in general.
I was just generalising. Today's flimsy trowels are disposable if you don't look after them. For me it's selling the system, as currier said, as soon as people hear materials are more they not interested, so then you either drop your price to keep your joints and lash on more to cover the difference.I'm
I'm
quite loose actually, re the trowels ,so many came out at the same time , eazi eazi 2 eazi 3 etc, spreads had the habit of buying a trowel and getting 5-10 years from it, these new disposable type trowels weren't of the same quality or duration, I do believe that spraying is the way forward. It's common sense as curry said before it will give the nearly finished spreads ten years more
You could always pick up a second hand graco Mark V. Normally sell for around 1500. If you can't get to grips with the system just sell it on for the same value. Nothing lost.Completely agree with you, but seems to me plasterers are one of the tightest people on earth, need extensive review before purchasing a 50 quid trowel, let alone shelling out on a setup 5k plus, saying that I haven't got a machine
True ,basically I'd want the same money but easier on the body , would you earn £8 plus a metre ? What would you earn by hand £6 ?I was just generalising. I reckon that airless setup looks to be perfect for a one man band.Yes a one man machine is whats required for the smaller teams , easy to operate ,clean and put away

You need a 16" s*p*r*lex, 6" knife and possibly as spat on a pole.
Just don't expect it to be as quick as you are skimming straight away. You won't be, you will be learning. To many people think it's s**t coz they not instantly quicker.
It's like someone using a ritmo to spray mono for the first time. Often people have no experience with either the machine, render or new methods and they just decide it's s**t. However there is plenty of proof that in fact it's not the machine, the render or the method that's s**t it's just the inexperience of the plasterer.

Is the earnings better than by hand , what size team does it require to make it practical , who sells graco and what's the customer service like, breakdowns ?
My dad is now 64 and still does airless jobs on his own. He can no longer render or skim and make it pay on his own.I'm

I keeping an eye out for them, rarely come up for sale, there's a few been on eBay 2.5k mark, but then I rather buy new to have the support from the dealer if needs be.You could always pick up a second hand graco Mark V. As a subbie or privately ,not big sites ,houses, flats etcAs a subbie? Or on one off developments?
These machines only need cleaning at the end of each job. The material stays in the hoses and hopper at night and spraying starts first thing in the morning till 4pm in the afternoon. No clean out each day. Not set hit times. Stop for a break half wall through a wall if you want.Yes a one man machine is whats required for the smaller teams , easy to operate ,clean and put away
Sounds great , I liked your videos , I have zero machine experience, I will look into it when funds are available .will have to get plasterer1stop to sell them , I like their customer service .These machines only need cleaning at the end of each job. Oh and no s**t anywhere

I'll be honest with you, when I subbed for a builder this year he paid £180, expectations were 2 bags of finish a day nothing more, it's shite rate, but then it was on my doorstep. I recently subbed for another one that was 400 a day, but then was doing 7 bags, I usually ask a tenner a meter that could be all inclusive it's all depends, recently I quoted 16/m² for difficult areas, where previously a gang of 3 done 5 weeks and altogether done 150m² in them 5 weeks on dayrate. It's a bit hit and miss. If I'm in London, I need 280 a day take home plus all the expenses. Call me deluded but this is what it isAs a subbie or privately ,not big sites ,houses, flats etc
I get £200 a day less tax , used to get £20 a day also for each of my two, now I don't , two hits plus prep .I'll be honest with you, when I subbed for a builder this year he paid £180, expectations were 2 bags of finish a day nothing more, it's shite rate, but then it was on my doorstep.
