Knauf Airless

Its all bollox anyway unless it can spray bricks and roofs, cause the other trades can't keep ahead of us now just with a hawk and trowel.
If it is faster which in a new build senario im dubious about, then great that'll be more time at home waiting on the builders getting the next house pre-plastered.
Unless I want to paint it myself of course, (which I fcuking well don't want to do).paintings the only thing more tedious then plastering.
So I could sub the whole lot out to the painters and just stay home
listening to her inane babble until the day the painter tenders for it himself for a cheap price my friend.
then I can go back to reskimming artex ceilings while wondering where it all went wrong.

The trades can't keep ahead of you because your a hungry c**t that skimming a house a day

There's no way painters and decoraters wud get into that..99% of them are just happy £80-£100 a day day workers..u still need to know ur hand around a trowel etc to do it,its still a plasterers job just different method..u seen a painters and decoraters attempts at easy filling etc

:)
We aren't very often behind on our programs keith to be fair, and if we are generally it'll be some other cnuts fault so it ceases to our problem.
cause lack of proper planning by someone else will never consitute an emergency on my part(y).

So all the painters that paint new build sites are working direct to bellway and redrow etc. Or could they be working for the ambitious painters im talking about.

99 % of painters arent lazy. Its just your opinion of the few you've met.

If that was true and every painter in your city just wanted to walk round with his finger up his ass for 80 a day then either nothing would ever get done or they would use a painting firm that grafted and would be cheaper. Painters don't get paid a fortune which means that they arent charging the main contractor a fortune which means that given a opportunity to increase their money by taking on the spraying of plaster some will jump at it

Are u plasterer?

I dnt c from watching the vids how this wudnt be another method of plastering..hows it another method of painting? Its plastering but using a different method..y dont painter do tape n joint now? There wud make more money Than painting and decorating..

Airless was aimed at painters not plasterers that says it all.
Why ohh why is everyone hell bent on fragmenting and giving away our trade?
If that took off for painters then plasterers would be done... builders/joiners/dryliners do the boarding and painters do the 'finishing'...

Yeah i am a plasterer for over 25 years,i love it and have never had a period where i didnt.
I was also using airless systems here in uk over 10 years ago. ALLTEK
I didnt like doing it tbh but its still here and more popular than it was 10 years ago.

I haven't said its another method of painting. I said you could train some labourers up to do it and that in Europe its mostly painters that do it

Its not hard to do is it. You run mesh tape and setting compound over a joint then spray the wall with coat of plaster. Flatten it down with a big spatula and sand the lines out. Painters allready do that if they have to, its part of their job. They dont call in a plasterer everytime they need to do a bit of patching. They use easy fill and sand

Were all doomed!! Doomed I tell ya!! There's plastering robots on youtube..dont know how to put vids up tho..wish aj fight wud hurry up so I can stop writing s**t on here and go to bed fecking knackered

Ok pal..for a minute I thought u was another salesman trying to start peddling sum s**t or sumat..so its taken 10 years and 90% of people still ant got a f**k**g clue wat it is..so in another 10 years it will be 85% of people still wont know wat it is

Most the plasterers i know on here know what it is but like i say its not aimed at plasterers, it will be marketed to big builders architects large housing upgrade schemes. Etc etc. you won't get an enquiry from mrs jones to do it on her house it will be the people selling it finding the jobs it can be used, then plastering firms working for these big builders and architects will be asked to do it as is currier plastering, then it will snowball from there
20 years ago they said u will never beat sand cement render, now its k rend parex everywhere you look and people doing large jobs for pennies using 1 skilled tradesman a machine and lots of cheap labour

Not saying it will take over but how many other countries use skimming and are we ahead of them or behind them.

If every plasterer hung their trowel up tomorrow the builders will still manage somehow

I won't lose any sleep over air less.

I don't know. But I know they have a airless finish plaster that you can put on with a paint roller coming out soon. How long would it take anyone to pick up how to do that. Probably 2to 3 weeks.
I just trialed a few of the roll on products from Europe. I must say I thought it was gonna be s**t but it worked quite well

Or go a try the product
Just because i try it curry dsnt mean its guna change the plastering world only builders/contractors will determine that..ive watched ur vids I like the look of it,with the looks of it,it looks like I cud train a chimpanzee how to do it..if it does roll out expect ur prices to cum rocketing down and that's a fact

A finisher does the finishing

Any plasterer that has sense would also do the painting. You have a machine to spray the paint on. It requires no prep
Is it aimed at plasterers then curry? Do u agree ur average Joe painter and decorator wud not do it? From watching ur vids its a plasterers job all day long u still need to know ur way round a trowel plus u still need to know wat a gud angle is etc..painters are useless at easy filling so I cudnt imagine a painter filling out all joints and beads etc..no chance..im not in that market at present but if the time came id jump on it I wud of no qualms about shelling out a few grand for a machine..id rather move into drywall stud partitioning mind as that pisses over anything money wise

When it takes off I don't see why prices will come rocketing down. It's not more expensive so why would it? Oh and if your right and prices do come down then it will have come down on normal skim so it's a pointless argument anyway

M2rate will surely cum Down some degree curry that's obvious if more people are competing for it..skimming cant go down any further! Just ask @Pedromendes that he will tell you that

I don't do sites,,,, but as a guess, what percentage of time served plasterers do taping.I know 3 tapers all painters to trade.I don't know any spreads that do.
Only ask as you do site commercial stuff.

It's aimed at anyone that wants hassle free high quality walls.

I think it's been aimed at decs over here as in Europe that's who does the plastering. But they are finishers not decs. It works well so knauf and beissier are just trying to replicate it.

It would be far easier to train a spread to do this properly however it's so easy if you fallow the correct procedures I could see some decs jumping on
