you and many others are still using outdated methods to fix modern materials.
if it works for you it's good.
my mate still mixes with a stick and he is quite happy.

Nowt wrong with stick and pogo , never break down and don't get nicked , let the mix sit for 5 min before you start is easiest , I've only gone electric in last 10 y due to old age , my dad ( 79 ) still does the odd wall or ceiling and only uses stick and pogo

A customer asked me if I got old stick.
When i said no he asked what I.d do if mixer broke..
I said go home and come back when new ens been delivered.

Same job power tripped just as I was mixing second coat. Couldn't Get in to power supply so ended up using a hit of 3 x 2 .

hook ons beat you to it for decent corners without the work of taping and cutting bits away and people still dont like them, for wanky corners wont work like hook ons wont so people will carry on using stiff gear

Modern materials? Angle beads just come out have they? Must of missed something in my years lol

Give up reading after a page and half, it’s a wank idea, if i wanted to tape beads on i’d Use scrim which I already have on the job. What happens if the tape gets wet? If my nails get wet I can still pick them up and use them easily.

hook ons don't work on reskims to existing plaster

yes mate works on boards and faster than stapler.
no loose beads or trying to line up holes with staple.
also you can't staple a hard wall but tape does both.
A company already make a corner bead specifically for plasterboard. Can't remember what it was called but the bead had little spikes all the way down it. Pushed onto the corner and held instantly. Even that didn't take off massively and worked spot on. If I worked on site I'd use them every time but only skim onto board probably 10% of the time.
Loads more comments just appeared... I can see above now they are called hook ons. Great product

if you can hold beads in place with scrim your a magician.
why would you let your tape get wet?
that's like putting a half open bag of cement in the shower.

do you do much reskimming over old finish?
that's where they work best in terms of speed.

I like your enthusiasm mate but your solving a problem that's already fixed (for square reveals) and still people aren't bothered and doing it the old way, this tape wont break the market....come up with something like halftime and youd have more of a chance but sadly that's already been done

And no one really classed it as a problem in the first place

Come up with ready mixed finish that stays wet when you put lid back on £££££££££££

We’re plasterers it’s a wet trade. I can hold beads onto plasterboard with scrim no bother. I haven’t read all the posts but I can tell you now nobody will be pulling themselves off over it. Most spreads would buy a roll to try, that would be the only roll. Buttering on beads goes back as long as buttering bread. Invent roll on lurpak or flora

You.d need a steam roller to roll on lurpak
