I have had it on a shop refurbishment recently but that was due to slow drying, it had no heat and no ventilation.... All the beads were rusting.... I wouldn't use bleach i would get a specific mould sterilizer....

Sponging dries more uniform.... Not saying it looks any better painted like.....

As above, but if the plaster is off it would be silly not to inject the wall also...

Paramount walls are terrible... What ever you do dont chance the door case as its a main brace for the wall.......

I do quite alot of damp work and i advise not to skim for 2 weeks....

And i personally would never use bonding like you have on the face of the chimney... Not good against damp or hygroscopic salts....

Id put money on that wall being the " magic membrane"..... The little dots look like the plugs..... Probably had issues before with water ingress so membraned it but without rectifying the underlying issue....

Keep for airflow....worked in a new house last week that is all but air tight .. but had an piv input fan in the loft....

Sand and cement doesn't trap as much moisture as a sheet of plastic... And if you dont inject the wall it will be piss wet and rot the mortar......

You wont regret it pal, just don't become a membrane bodger.... See lots of firms on facebook that membrane every job as its quicker, but not better....

70 percent is damp work pal, i don't mention them when quoting just tend to win work with knowledge and explaining the cause/solution and have a portfolio of completed jobs with satisfied customers feed back...plus charge extra labour than plastering alone due to giving guarantees... they do...

You wont go wrong with Pam ties pal... I did their course years ago and am an approved installer.... They are always on hand if you have any issues......

I found it too stiff to be a polishing trowel and too flexi to be a flattening trowel

I don't mind them as I put 2 heavy coats on my jobs as 90 percent of my work is reskims over crap wall.....lol....

I think their claim of 6mm is abit generous but they defo thicker than the norm...... But love them as alot of corners i bed onto are all over the place so give you scope to build out and still cover the wings.... I staple mini mesh for board.....

I use the catnic 6mm coat ones for bedding on.... They are more rigid than any other bead ...

I think the 1st mistake is doing a reduced rate for the builder... I don't care if I plaster for a builder or joe public, i still get my day rate....

You will probably need air input as well as extraction....

Definitely condensation...just skim it without scraping and tell him he needs a fan installing...

I used wet and dry to take the edge off but it was more ridged than my ox ultra flex and for my last lick i want it flexi as hell ..... lol

At first, just the last lick.... Found it to rigdged and made my wrist ache... Tryed it earlier in the gauge and it left lines as it is perfectly flat....

All my kit is ox...from my trowels to my tape measure..

I know most people on here dont like sponging but does leave a more uniform finish when dry....

Make sure the insurance take meter readings and pay for the electric the dehumidifiers use....

Look at the tape slayer on you tube, he rates the metabo over the dewalt.....
