mark two was sent out, mark one was only for my own use. mark three will take the plastering world by storm.
Hope not .fell off other dayhas this tape got a British standard certificate ?
what do you mean, you want to stick mf to the non adhesive part of the tape?Wanted a tape that MF sticks too , thought the surface of yours would be what I'm looking for

which BS test are you referring to?
Adhesive tape is not currently subject to British standards or euro equivalent. The tape need to have a British standard certificate before it can be used on public works etc.
Yes , when the take is stuck on board ( and bead ) I expect the MF to stick to top as good as it sticks to the board, eg fine hairs on surface or texture for physical grabwhat do you mean, you want to stick mf to the non adhesive part of the tape?
You mean like a gecko?Yes , when the take is stuck on board ( and bead ) I expect the MF to stick to top as good as it sticks to the board, eg fine hairs on surface or texture for physical grab

I'm not going to google but assume gecko is suction ,You mean like a gecko?
No an animal that has hairy soles and can walk upside down on glass.I'm not going to google but assume gecko is suction ,
Once tape is launched I will be seeking to get its use as a bead fix method approved as a British standard.i would not like to use it on a WD contract. i have seen them take huge tile floors up because they used a tile adhesive that they were never given the opportunity to test it.
Therms , yes, but have explained on the other thread about Stanley for physical grabSo if you're dabbing out a new build extension or house you would PVA all block work?
Or just if it's contaminated with shitloads of dust,
Wrong thread. So if you're dabbing out a new build extension or house you would PVA all block work?

Tape is no good for my useOnce tape is launched I will be seeking to get its use as a bead fix method approved as a British standard.
Staples or clouts into mortar are not.
Great, saves me taking legal action against you.Tape is no good for my use
You f****** love it don't you,Wrong thread.
Tape talk here, try next door.
Adhesives to be fair rarely fail, it is usually application error or incorrect adhesive for job.i would not like to use it on a WD contract. i have seen them take huge tile floors up because they used a tile adhesive that they were never given the opportunity to test it.
The problem with using your tape is the surface is a non absorbing wet patch on trowelling up , the plaster is not bonded , you have holes for this reason , get a hairy tape surface and you will make progressGreat, saves me taking legal action against you.
Yes mate, only joking you are welcome to chat about what you want on the second best thread on the forum. You f****** love it don't you,
For this thread was about pointless ideasYou f****** love it don't you,
Cheers mate thanks for that,Yes mate, only joking you are welcome to chat about what you want on the second best thread on the forum.
Same as a metal bead you mean, proven over years or a smooth plastic bead. The problem with using your tape is the surface is a non absorbing wet patch on trowelling up , the plaster is not bonded , you have holes for this reason , get a hairy tape surface and you will make progress
What's your idea? For this thread was about pointless ideas
Mesh reenforced paper tape with contact adhesive lolSame as a metal bead you mean, proven over years or a smooth plastic bead.
But yes that would be ideal, I need a big tape manufacturer to produce to my spec but until I buy one out they will only adapt a tape they already manufacturer.
What's your idea?

Some tape like yours double-sided though you could stick it to the the joists and just push the board into place without mechanical fixings
whats the brick tape for, masking?Seriously though it looks like it sticks well to bricks,
I buy shitloads of blue dolphin orange brick tape use it daily and it's not really that good at sticking to bricks, I get through more than what any plasterer could get through on scrim,
Have you got some without the holes
Yes all I do is render, masking up DPC and joining brickwork, I use orange brick tape on the windows but it isn't very good on brickworkwhats the brick tape for, masking?
